Monthoops, I know you are a McGillis supporter just as I am, and were happy to hear he went on a recruiting trip for the griz last weekend.. but I have one question>>>why was Kellan Hasquet on the trip as well?? when will people realize he's a soft player and is far less a talent than his older brother? I was optimistic about him before the season but in my opinion his stock has dropped off considerably. Kellan Hasquet will not be an impact player at the D-1 level: mark my words after someone wastes a scholie on him

Whats the point of getting on this message board and trashing Hasquet. Were you affected in some way that he was involved in the recruiting trip. Regardless if you are a big Knights fan or not and you hate Sentinel whats the point of calling him "a waste of a scholie". A personal vendetta maybe, I dont know but didn't your mom ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say then dont say anything. Keep it to yourself armchair quarterback cause no one wants to hear it especially from some guy who probably didn't play past Elementary 8ft hoop league and now maybe plays in some washed up city league for guys under 6ft tall. Thats being generous too. There both good players and neither one is waste of anything and both deserve scholarships to wherever they end up.

The Griz want Kellan to walk-on. That's a hell-of-a walk-on to get if you ask me. Kellan has oodles of talent, he just needs someone to light a fire under his ass. If anyone can do it, It's Krystkowiak.hoop_fan987 wrote:Monthoops, I know you are a McGillis supporter just as I am, and were happy to hear he went on a recruiting trip for the griz last weekend.. but I have one question>>>why was Kellan Hasquet on the trip as well?? when will people realize he's a soft player and is far less a talent than his older brother? I'm not sure why hoop_fan is trashing Hasquet either. As I've watched him play with this young/unexperienced Sentinel team, I wonder, how would Sentinel have done this year with McGillis or Cox in Hasquet's spot. I agree, Cox or McGillis would probably average many more points, but I don't think Sentinel would have won 11 games (including sweeping their four Eastern AA Conference games very impressively) He's a team player, who runs offense and more importantly has faith in his teammates..........something that will be very valuable at the next level. On top of that, he has unlimited range, moves very easily laterally and can defend on the perimeter.

Yep! you caught me slumming whoring in other message boards. I got a private
message, the other day from a friend saying that McGillis has had serious conversation
with Stew Morril's (ex-Montana head coach) Utah State. Durham, I am told, will not
offer McGillis , or anyone else, until after the AA State tourney. The Griz have an offer,
sort-of, on the table for McGillis.
Then today I got a PM today from someone else, who I really don't know that well
though, with the following info / speculation / rumor, that I found interesting. I can not
tell you how they got the info, but it was interesting none of the less.
********* Rumor Alert *********
Morrill was turned on to McGillis, by Kysco. This is how this was supposed to happen.
When Kysco offered McGillis a scholarship for 2006-07 if he walked on next year
2005-06, he expected McGillis to jump on board the Griz Band wagon telling boosters "I
found a way to sign McGillis", but McGillis did commit. The Griz program knows that
McGillis is very interested in the Bobcats and so do the Boosters. Given the possibility
of the home town kid going to the dreaded Bobcats he contacted Morrill. In this way if
McGillis wants to say home he will sign with the Griz, but if he wants / needs a
scholarship and or leave home he would hopefully pick Utah State over little old
Montana State.
********** End of Rumor Alert ***********
Again the amount of truth in this is unknown to me but I got a chuckle out of it!

I can not speak for MSU01 but I find it resourceful of Krysco (if it is indeed true), kind ofmthoops wrote:Why would this make you like Krystko more? Honestly, just curious.MSU01 wrote:If that's true, I'm starting to like Krystowiak more and more! Funny to think that he might do that, anyway!
thinking outside the box. Think about it, what would be the ramifications if McGillis
ends up being a star player. If he is a Bobcat Krysco will have to live with it and hear
about from the boosters for 4-5 years especially on Cat /Griz days. If he plays at Utah
State it is a lot easier to explain how he got away from the Griz. Clever, and pretty
politically smooth!

Any predictions for the State AA Tournament this weekend? Will Bozeman bounce back, Can they get past Thatcher and Butte? Will there be any upsets. You all know who I'm picking. Here's a bracket...Don't be afraid to be BOLD in your predictions.

Hellgate really got the good side of the bracket on this one. I am picking Butte all the way though. Thatcher doesn't need an easy side of the bracket.
Round One:
Butte over Bozeman
Billings West over Helena
Capital over GF
Hellgate over Senior
Round TWO:
BUTTE over WEST (THE UPSET)
Hellgate over Capital
Championship:
BUTTE OVER HELLGATE
Consilation:
West over GF
