SDSU is healthy and will beat the piss out of the gris. SDSU will win in the trenches all day long.

So close yet so farGoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:49 pmThey played an inspired, physical game that day, egged on by a loud, energetic crowd. It was the best and most physical I've seen them all year. We handled the environment well but I thought played a B- type game. Didn't tackle well, missed some big play opportunities, etc. I don't think they can put another effort like that together in Bozeman. I think we win that hypothetical by 2 TDs minimum.tetoncat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:23 pmSort of making my point. Each team had some breaks at times where other team could have snatched control of the game. I thought late Griz could not stop Cats O. But, that last drive of 2nd and first of the 3rd Griz converted a lot to stay on field and score. I just don't see SDSU rolling them and Cats have to play better to blow them out. Both things are possible.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:06 amWell the Cats are a MUCH different team than they were three months ago when they lost to SDSU. I think SDSU is better than the griz so I could see them winning that game and I'd love another crack at them.
I could also see the griz winning because they have shown they are very tough to beat at home in the playoffs. If that happened and they won another at home and we do the same I would love that matchup. Why? Because we played average football 2 weeks ago and won in their mecca. Because the griz haven't won in Bozeman in a decade. And in those losses they have been blown out. I think the better question would be why would we NOT be confident if we got Missoula again?
And I'm not buying this silly narrative that the entire game was won on a pick and a blocked field goal. We could do that for the griz too right? What about their fumble that came right back to them. Like it's a flukey thing that we got an interception or that we blocked a field goal. Those are plays good teams make. I could list 50 other plays that contributed to us winning that game as well.
If we get the griz back in Bozeman i'm betting we are favored by about 10 and we'll win by more than that. Even though for some reason there are griz fans thinking we should be scared of a rematch in a place they haven't won forever.![]()
As for SDSU... this feels like an opportunity for Big Game Bobby to go conservative. Good team coming in, physical mismatch, bad weather. I think they're down 14-0 before people even sit down, and will have to battle back against a team that can beat them up front. I think sdsu wins 34-24, something like that.

They score more points with him, which puts pressure on opposing offenses to score more. Entire team plays with more confidence.Cledus wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 7:03 amNot a popular opinion, but I don’t think SDSU will pose much a challenge to um. I know Mason’s back, but his absence doesn’t explain the defense giving up as many points as they did even with their best linebacker out. In their last loss, they gave up 28 points in the first quarter.

They did score more points and he did throw for 350. Defense didn't show up at all.Cledus wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:46 pmTomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 2:01 pmMason makes their defense better. Yeah, the middle of the field was wide open over and over. Ah Yat had no pressure on him, easy throws to make. He throws a good ball when he has ample time to make reads, but you get any pressure he’s below average at best.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:14 pmThey did score more points and he did throw for 350. That's essentially what I said in my post that Tom responded to where I predicted the gris would cruise.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:14 pmThey did score more points and he did throw for 350.
