Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
Does anyone in the know have an opinion on who we should be after that hasn't already committed (I know Brady Casagrande, but we'll probably never know what's going on there)? Who should we be rooting for the Cats to get in this final signing period? I remember Logan Jones was a last second commit that panned out extremely well

Brady committed to Montana Tech so I think that's that. Still baffled.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:47 amDoes anyone in the know have an opinion on who we should be after that hasn't already committed (I know Brady Casagrande, but we'll probably never know what's going on there)? However, I'm working on updating this list. A lot of these kids have committed. One who hasn't is Jaxan Lieberg out of Helena High. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a late push for him by UM and MSU as a WR recruit.

Oh they've shown interest but no offer. May still be a game of chicken but its just weird because he's a great LB recruit and both schools excel at developing in-state linebackers.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:21 amSo did Treyton PickeringVimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:19 amBrady committed to Montana Tech so I think that's that. As you said, it's weird that the coaches of neither D1 school have showed any interest but we'll just have to see. There's always a little hope until signing day

Considering MSU brought in the kid from Gallatin as a walk on, I remain convinced that they think Casagranda is maxed out.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:22 amOh they've shown interest but no offer. I also like Byrson LeCoure out of Thompson Falls. Long athlete that could develop nicely at LB.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:19 amBrady committed to Montana Tech so I think that's that. Jackson is a monster at 6'7", 300 lbs. but his lower half will need a ton of development if he wants to see the field at EWU. This is why I listed him as a project because you can't teach the sheer size. Hope he develops and turns into a player!

I think Luke Oxarart is going to be starting at safety by his RS-sophomore year. I think he will break 11 in the 100 this spring IF he runs track.

Yeah he very much so fits the athletic profile of a Rylan Ortt or Tre Webb.

Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
Lots of similarities but I think Luke is quite a bit faster and quicker than Ortt or Webb. Ran a 11.17 100m last season. Boulder/Jefferson have been good to MSU. Timmers, Cordiero, Padmos. I think the OL Noble could factor in soon, too.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 11:51 amYeah he very much so fits the athletic profile of a Rylan Ortt or Tre Webb.

Speaking of Luke Oxarart, is there a reason that Brady Armstrong from Jefferson is not getting offers. Saw he just won the 215 weight class at State wrestling and finished 40-0 on the season. Showed off his athleticism after with a cartwheel and flip. Benches 375, Squats 500, cleans 315 and has a 3.85 gpa. Also all state defensive line.

Where would you play somebody who is 5’9, 215, and not exactly fast? I would guess that’s the main reason.Cataholic wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 10:20 pmSpeaking of Luke Oxarart, is there a reason that Brady Armstrong from Jefferson is not getting offers. Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
How do you know he is not fast? I am not expecting him to run a blazing 40, but I saw a pretty special athlete wrestle. Seems hard to believe that a freak athlete at 5’9” who looked lean and solid could not contribute at the Frontier level. At least at Fullback. I was just surprised that he did not even appear on the overall Montana recruits lists.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 9:50 amWhere would you play somebody who is 5’9, 215, and not exactly fast? Didn’t he play OL and DL for boulder?Cataholic wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 11:36 amHow do you know he is not fast? I am not expecting him to run a blazing 40, but I saw a pretty special athlete wrestle. Re: 2025 Montana Recruits
I knew about him. But the list is designed for FCS recruiting and all those I believe have a shot at that level. I don't hit on all of them but I learned a while back that if I designed it for all levels, you could literally have 250+ kids listed as a pile of kids have potential for NAIA ball. Brady is a classic case of measurables vs. production. Hyper productive and dominant in high school and likely still would've been at the AA level in football. But where do you play him at the FCS level? He played OL/DL in high school and will be a starting DT in the shrine game. But I think fullback would be his only option but maybe LB? Tyler Flink comes to mind as a comparison as he was about 5'11" and played FB/LB in high school. Probably could've listed him. He nearly had 20 sacks his senior season. Let's call it a miss on my part but kids like him happen every year and I still have yet to see one breakthrough to a FCS program.Cataholic wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 11:36 amHow do you know he is not fast?
