Wow. You must have a hell of a lot of confidence in your defense to believe that you're going to hold us to 10 or 13 points, when no one has dont that all year long.

I guess we'll see.

Eagles 35

Bobcats 28

Helcat,
It was mentioned on another topic that Kramer said on the Sports Nut show that Bolton was doubtful.
Remember that he didn't start the Sac St game, and only got in about the 2nd quarter. I think it's his ankle.

It will take at least 30 points to win this game.

I just saw Bolton and he has a walking cast on his leg.

I am not quite sure where to call this one. I am pretty sure it will in the upper 30s lower 40s (the score not the temperature). It should be a good game as MSU is looking to rebound from a loss at the hands of SAC while EWU comes in with momentum after upsetting number 11 Cal Poly.

This is going to come down to who can run the ball and not turn it over. Penalties have plagued all BSC teams and it will not change for this game.

I am stepping away from the soap box.

Kramer just said on sports nuts that Bolton's Xrays were negative for a broken leg. He said both Bolton and Wolf should be back practicing this week.

Well then the game rests soley in Dominecks hands, in which case I don't like our chances. The kid is a fumble machine. If he broke big runs and had a few 100 yard days now and then, I wouldn't mind the fumbling so much. He runs hard sometimes, but other times it looks like he... just doesn't want to get yards. He could be a good back (not great), but he needs to step it up.

I just hope we pressure Meyer to make bad throws, and Force/Grenfell make some INTs. It can happen, but only time will tell. In my mind, the KEY to this game is QB pressure, hands down. We to put Meyer on his back atleast 4 times, hurry him atleast 8, and pick atleast one ball off. I'm confident our running D will rebound after last weeks fiasco, and go back to our average of about 115 yards per game allowed.

I changed my mind, there are two keys, both related to QB pressure. With injuries to the OL, we MUST protect Lulay, or run some bootlegs to get him mobile again. I'm afraid Lulay must carry this team again, and I have faith he can, if he gets decent protection.

If our D shows up:
MSU 30 EWU 23

If we continue from last week:
MSU 21 EWU 34

Sad that EWU can't get the job done themselves and has to rely on help from the Bobcats to finish above the Grizzlies. You had a chance to OWN the Big Sky with a win at home over the Griz and couldn't get it done. Now the Bobcats are going to knock you out of the playoff picture. Better luck next year. Oh, wait, next year you play in Washington-Grizzly. Better luck in two years.

MSU 31, EWU 28

Other than the griz I have more respect for EWU than any other football opponent in the BSC. From coach Zornes, through Big Mike to Coach Paul, EWU has consistently produced solid, competitive and highly entertaining football teams. This, while working out of the back alley of Cheney in the shadow of Pac 10 WSU on perhaps the smallest budget and least attractive stadium in the conference. Plus, I don't recall a single game we've played them that wasn't in doubt one way or the other until the final minutes. This has all the makings of an epic battle. My heart is saying the Cats by 1. My head is not as confident. I'm glad the game is in Bozeman.

This thing is in your hands, Bobcats. No mistakes this week!!

Everybody says it, the coaches preach it, and teams try not to do it, but let's face it. We overlooked Sac. State. Especially on D. After that opening drive I even admit, I was thinking "Okay, this is obviously going to be a blowout - let's start working on some things to prep for EWU!" Backs are against the wall and the Bobcats will definitely show up to play on Saturday. This team had plenty of talent (See NAU) and plenty of heart (See all the comebacks this year). We'll put it all together offensively, defensively, and on special teams, we'll limit the stupid mistakes and win this one 34 to 31. Eastern has faltered in their 2 bigger games this year, and they know if they lose this one their season is over. It's possible that they collapse in this one, and I'll be there screaming my head off to help the cause. 8) I'm hoping for an NAU type game where we tear out of the gates and never look back. I know, I know, Eastern is way better than NAU this year but you never know what can happen if we get a few lucky breaks early. Our defense will be on fire - mark my words...

EWU fans are loyal, which I give them massive credit for. I'm not sure I go so far as to say I have respect for them. I was in Joe Albi in 2002, where 12k Grizzlies fans hung out, versus 5k for the Eagles.
Bozeman is plenty cold today, and an East wind is blowing. The Eagles are going to have a hard time if the weather keeps going the way it does. May the weather continue to worsen.

If it comes down to a running game, I definately don't like our chances.

Exactly, we want the weather to be nice for our spread passing game. We get into a running game and I think we are done (unless coach K) has something up his sleeve. You know, like Rocky III where the Russian is just punching and then his manager yells #$%@%@#%@# and all of the sudden BAM! 2500 PSI punch hitting you in the face!!! HARD :)

Hopefully something like that will happen this week :)

And yes, definately bringing the Yaeger up for the game this week to coat the throat from screaming. Its gonna be LOUD!

Dolph Lundgren was cool, especially in Universal Soldier.

Maybe he should play RB for us.

It's supposed to get up over 50 Saturday.

ISU's passing numbers are inflated due to the fact that they play catch-up every week and have almost NO running game. 114th there.

I don't see how bad weather would help the Bobcats. They seem to play best in domes. EWU has the running game. Cheney is not exactly tropical paradise. Bad weather would suppress the crowd. Why not finish the home season in comfort, as predicted?

I'm not saying their a great team or scoring offense, but even with teams knowing they will pass on them, they continue to roll up the yards. Just an opinion, we stopped their passing game, it will be much harder to stop EWU's, they aren't a one dimensional team like ISU is. I was simply saying we can stop a passing attack. :P
