he's funnin you bozone.......although it is a pretty good idea, because cate will never be the griz head coach. selvig's assistant has that locked up whenever he retires, which will be at least 10 years.

Yeah, I was just funnin' ya Bozone. I thought you knew my type of humor by now. :)

I was actually teasing Kusak and his article. :)

What about Sarah Fowler (Flock) if memory serves, she is the Head Girls coach in her hometown of Belgrade?

During her high school and subsequent college days she battled Shannon Cate in every sport. Sarah Flock always had the competitive fires burning. I guess the question is, is she as good a coach as she was a player???

Maybe she could rekindle some fire in the program. Seems to me that when she a CAT, they were a pretty good team. Also, isn't Sarah one of the all-time leading scorers in CAT history.

MSU Sports Info wrote:To set the record: Judy Spoelstra's best season at Montana State was during the 1992-93 season, when the Bobcats defeated Montana for the Big Sky tournament title to earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAAs-- where they faced Washington. Her record that season was 22-7 and 13-1 in Big Sky play. During her tenure at MSU she was 98-68, with one title, one runner-up finish, three thirds and a fourth (in her first season). Please, if you don't have the correct information (statistically speaking), don't post misinformation. Check with us first.
As I read the post, my understanding was that Spoelstra's 10 years at Oregon State were being referenced, not her time in Bozeman.

So really, you posted the misinformation since her record at MSU never was given prior to your 'correction'.

Below is an article from the Great falls Trib on the selection proccess of the new Women's coach. It says that they should have a short list by this afternoon. I talked with a couple people last week and was told the main forces on the selection commitee were Peter Fields and Ginny Hunt. Also I have heard that Judy Spoelstra has applied for the possition. There was a rumor printed in the Billings Gazette last week that "a long time assistant Big Sky coach" had also applied. While the person I talked with said that they are not all knowing in such things they were not aware of any " long time assistant Big Sky coach" application. In her opinion the Gazette was most likely refering to Shannon Cate, and felt that the whole idea was Bogus.
