The only nice thing I can say about that field is that it doesn't look QUITE as bad in person as it does on TV. When I'm flying from Montana out to Seattle I always enjoy trying to spot it from the air as we fly over the Spokane area.

EWU is the funnest away trip, and I wish we still went. You know the drill, kids, wife, life, etc. if you can go, go. We used to stay in Spokane and do the alumni deal, which was awesome, they do such a good job. Then we started to stay at the circling raven or northern quest, and it was a straight up blast. Circling raven because of the golf, not so much the casino, and the northern quest has all the entertainment you need for a night or two. Just a fun trip, and I will be getting back into it about 15-17 years from now.

I’ve stayed at the northern quest on those weekends. Lots of great places to eat all over Spokane. One cool little bar in Cheney. I usually stay downtown Coeur d’Alene in one of the older seasonal motels now. Couple of the managers know me and will keep a room open really cheap and I can walk all over downtown Coeur d’Alene. Hudson‘s hamburgers in Coeur d’Alene is a must stop. Always forget the great breakfast place name on the east end of downtown Coeur d’Alene on the north side of the street? Dick hamburgers in Spokane spaghetti factory, in Spokane.

Couple of big salvage yards for classic car parts in Spokane and North in Sandpoint mix for a fun day for me

Never had one but they say their Cinnamon Rolls are excellent. Post Falls has Old European, pretty good breakfasts, good Cinnamon Rolls and their specialty, Ebelskivers.

At least Hillsborough has a full bar for the fans, so Cats fans usually end up bombed AND happy. If you go to EWU stop at Post Falls and try the White House, unless you despise garlic. Fantastic Greek food, the best in Idaho.

Hillsboro Stadium only has stands on one side of the field, so I'd assume that as close as you can get to the 50 yard line is the best spot to be.

Don’t remember the exact year other than our Marshall defense was porous. We didn’t stop ewoo once. On our way out of the stadium, the bball team was flipping my 16yr old son some grief. My wife barked back he’s “F-ing 16”. Shut em up. Will never go back to the crappy place. EVER.

Nice thing is the game is at 1pm. Neither of us like to drive at night. Darn, it sucks to get old .

Correct. They are part of the Pioneer League, which while playoff eligible, does not furnish scholarships.

Drake over EWU is definitely one of the bigger FCS vs FCS upsets in a while. Drake lost 55-7 to UND, 70-7 to SDSU, and 66-3 to NDSU in the Playoffs last year. The last time they played MSU in 2021 it was 45-7.

EWU has the worst fans in the conference. Would not be shocked if there are multiple incidents this year involving that student section being next to the visiting bench, particularly our game and when they play the Griz

Worse than the gris?!? Don't get me wrong, every fan base has some bad fans, but not sure that I agree that EWU is worse than the Gris as a whole.
