There’s a Divide Trophy for all sports combined. Cats have owned it for 8 yrs straight… FTGtetoncat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:00 amYou can't give Costello and Cruzado credit then only focus on losses at WA Griz. Cats are dominant in overall sport wins, FB, MBB, WBB, Volleyball, Rodeo, T&F, Cross Country, Golf are all consistently finishing above Griz or advancing further in post season. There has been numerous building projects for sports and academics. Enrollment has soared. MSU is the dominant institution.aucat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:53 amWell, I just don't know. A MORE scathing article was written in 2022 after we had the incredible exposure on ESPN Game Day and then we blew out the gris 55 to something. The article pointed out how much MSU had grown in enrollment with its outstanding academic programs (especially engineering, computer science, etc.) and all the construction taking place on campus. Then 2023 comes along and the gris smoke us and go to the finals in Frisco. And we were loaded last year. UM overachieved and we underachieved. Anyway, yes, I really like where we are right now. We can thank President Cruzado and Leon Costello for much of the success. In my biased opinion, Montana State is THE university of the state of Montana these days. However, having said that, it was Jeff Choate who figured out how to win four in a row against the gris, including two at their place. Only when we can go into Wa-gris and win on a consistent basis can we say we are dominating them.
With success comes attention, with attention comes cockiness, with cockiness comes arrogance, with arrogance comes rudeness...and they wonder why I hate the Griz ! FTG

This season Colter said BH was the best coach in the BSC. He still has plenty believers.saintcat40 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 5:23 pmI do enjoy the fact that some of these reporters are openly calling out the gris downfall. I have noticed that Colter has been pretty open about Hauck’s shortcomings as well. While it is the reporters’ job to assess and report the declining state of the program, it seems that Hauck’s rude behavior to them over the years has made them more willing to point out his failures.

Pretty deep discount there... Especially considering Saban has won multiple NC games.Cledus wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 7:47 amHauck is the discount Nick Saban.imacat wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 1:40 amThis season Colter said BH was the best coach in the BSC. Hoops is arguing that the gris are as good as they have ever been, most seem to see that there is a problem

As much as I'd like to buy into the sentiment that the frizzzz are yesterday's news I'm not buying it. A year from the 'ship and with eight home games next year they are all but guaranteed a top 8 seed and they'll be back in the thick of it. We also need a win at WaFrizz next year rather than get blown out for there to be any trend that I can see.
I would LOVE to be wrong.

Here's what I love, next year 8 home games, easy schedule, they won't feel the need to fix anything and then they play us and they'll be not good with a week schedule.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:33 pmAs much as I'd like to buy into the sentiment that the frizzzz are yesterday's news I'm not buying it. They have a very easy schedule, they should be 9-0 when we play them.lutecat wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:35 pmHere's what I love, next year 8 home games, easy schedule, they won't feel the need to fix anything and then they play us and they'll be not good with a week schedule.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:33 pmAs much as I'd like to buy into the sentiment that the frizzzz are yesterday's news I'm not buying it. Re: Cat-Griz comparison
As easy as their schedule is, an overlooked element is that they play 12 straight weeks without a bye. Could easily see them pretty banged up by late in the seasoncats2506 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 5:15 pmThey have a very easy schedule, they should be 9-0 when we play them.lutecat wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:35 pmHere's what I love, next year 8 home games, easy schedule, they won't feel the need to fix anything and then they play us and they'll be not good with a week schedule.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:33 pmAs much as I'd like to buy into the sentiment that the frizzzz are yesterday's news I'm not buying it. That would be impossible... unless there are two games that don't get played. lolcats2506 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 5:15 pmThey have a very easy schedule, they should be 9-0 when we play them.lutecat wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:35 pmHere's what I love, next year 8 home games, easy schedule, they won't feel the need to fix anything and then they play us and they'll be not good with a week schedule.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:33 pmAs much as I'd like to buy into the sentiment that the frizzzz are yesterday's news I'm not buying it.
