If true, what a shame. Guys like Petre are going to have to step up big time.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Re: Caden Dowler
Does anyone have any film on Caden’s injury? One Dowler went down and the other one took a helmet shot for the ages? Lamson was hobbling around, Brott got finished off. Any other stars? My wife spotted an egregious ankle twist in one of the Robbie Hauck Memorial Pile-On Piles, but I’d have to watch it back to see who received it. While I get distracted by the football, she watches the “extra-curriculars” and was reporting a bunch of stuff.

Petre has been excellent on special teams and as a backup safety all year. It’s not quite to Caden’s level, but not too far behind.

Re: Caden Dowler
Just wondering, besides Caden is everyone else on the injury list after the SuperBrawl that wasn’t already listed on there?

Hopefully the 2 weeks between games can clean up some of the nagging things. Would be awesome to be near full strength

I watched the game again and he did not look like he was in much pain and seemed to be moving both arms on the sidelines afterwards but he might have been given a lidocaine injection right away so hard to say..if it was a bad shoulder injury seems like he would have had it wrapped to his body.

It’s definitely a wrist injury, you can see the moment it happens he grabs at his wrist (1st play of the second drive, tackle on Gillman). And he also most likely wouldn’t take the sling off at all if it was a shoulder injury.justafan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 7:15 amI watched the game again and he did not look like he was in much pain and seemed to be moving both arms on the sidelines afterwards but he might have been given a lidocaine injection right away so hard to say..if it was a bad shoulder injury seems like he would have had it wrapped to his body.

What does that mean? Was there another injury that I missed?

Brott seemed fine after the game, as well as Lamson. Lamson always hobbles off, I just think he has a pretty darn high pain tolerance. Kind of a weird and random post.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 8:51 am“Brott got finished off”…???Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 4:27 pmDoes anyone have any film on Caden’s injury? are you saying @60's Cat is wrong? his post says he talked to Caden's grandmother and she told him it was his shoulder? either way I hope it is nothing too bad..Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 8:43 amIt’s definitely a wrist injury, you can see the moment it happens he grabs at his wrist (1st play of the second drive, tackle on Gillman). I’m saying I watched the replay a handful of times and it looked pretty obvious what he was grabbing. Maybe it was deceiving, or maybe I’m just wrong, but I’ll be surprised if it’s revealed to be something other than a wrist injury.justafan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 9:03 amare you saying @60's Cat is wrong? his post says he talked to Caden's grandmother and she told him it was his shoulder? either way I hope it is nothing too bad..Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 8:43 amIt’s definitely a wrist injury, you can see the moment it happens he grabs at his wrist (1st play of the second drive, tackle on Gillman). Re: Caden Dowler
watching the re-play he may have injured his wrist or just grabbed his wrist to stabilize his shoulder. regardless I hope it is not too sever. Seems like a wrist he could play in two weeks with a club but shoulder probably not...Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 9:12 amI’m saying I watched the replay a handful of times and it looked pretty obvious what he was grabbing. Brott said on the Bobcat Weekly podcast last week that his ankle will need surgery after the season and that he's just getting shots before each game and playing through it.SparkCat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 8:59 amBrott seemed fine after the game, as well as Lamson. Re: Caden Dowler
It may be a wrist issue, but I'm inclined to believe it's a shoulder problem. Near the end of the game, Caden was embracing Taco, and during, Caden wasn't raising or moving his arm. That tells me shoulder.BornBobcat2000 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 10:36 amSideline reporter also said it was a wrist injuryCatsrgrood wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 9:12 amI’m saying I watched the replay a handful of times and it looked pretty obvious what he was grabbing. Having fractured my collarbone, you hold your wrist to immobilize the shoulder.
If that's the case, tough for Caden.

He came out of the locker room with a sling and a wrist brace. He took both of them off shortly after.Bobcat Sig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 11:27 amIt may be a wrist issue, but I'm inclined to believe it's a shoulder problem. He was jumping around on the sideline....I wouldn't be shocked to see him play.

If Coach Vigen is doing his normal Monday press conference today I look forward to finding out absolutely nothing specific whatsoever about Caden's injury! And that is of course how it should be, don't give Illinois State any more info than you have to.
