That's the 8th commit, so far, this 2025 recruiting season. For perspective, MSU didn't get their 8th commit for the 2024 recruiting season until the end of November last year.

So it looks like the Cats are absolutely crushing the Griz for all the in state recruits? If memory serves... it seems like it's usually tipped slightly one way or the other, and maybe a bit more towards whoever won the last Brawl? "Who wins the brawl tips the next year's recruiting" is more of a narrative than fact. Recruiting wins in-state usually first revolve around legacy relationships then #2 would be quality recruiting (coaches, facilities, majors, structure of tours, etc.). For example, we won the 2017 brawl in Bozeman and the Griz took home 5 of my Top 7 players (Gabe Sulser, Drew Turner, Garrett Graves, Levi Janacaro, and Nick Germer) in the 2018 class that next February. Sulser and Germer had legacy ties while Turner and Graves were recruiting wins. Janacaro only received PWOs from both and not even sure Cats offered (if they didn't they should've). Anyway, point being is the in-state guys usually follow family first and a list of other factors related around their recruiting experience second.

I'm no recruiting expert but it sure seems to be like Coach Vigen is recruiting for the long term while Hauck is recruiting for the short term. He must be desperate to get that National Championship before he retires, makes sense when he's been there four times now but has never won it. You have to also love MSU's prioritization of in-state players, since at least with the fairly small sample size we have now they appear to be significantly less likely to transfer out.

This young man is being followed by some of the coaches but it doesn't look like he has an offer yet. I really want him in a Bobcat uniform, just so I can purchase a Bobcat NIL t-shirt with his name on it.
