I was a loyal fan of the Bobcats back in the early 80's and in 1984 when they won the 1-AA national chamiponship. I moved out of the state for eleven years and upon my return my allegiances were with the Grizzlies.
Well that statement there pretty much sums you up quite well. Not only are you a bandwagon jumper, but you have absolutely zero loyalty. Bottom of the barrel is my first thought in summing up types like you.
I was a fan in 1984 when we won the title and I was still a fan when we went 0-11. I post on here because I'm a huge Cat fan.......like most posters on here, they are diehard Cat fans through and through. When Griz fans see what you just posted, they will likely find you pathetic as well.
Now why does fraternity issues have to come up in this convo? The issue at stake is your pathetic ability to demonstrate loyalty. It clearly sets sail towards the teams that are more successful at the moment. If you can be proud of being that way, then more power to you. In reality, you are as pathetic as they come.

Good lord BAC, I was just pointing out that I didn't take the 1-10 comment well either; I wasn't debasing anyone on here in regards to their loyalty or my objective choice of whether they have a loser mentality. I wasn't classifying the poster as such either.
I don't know what made you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today, but your head might be in need of some reexamination if you think that me or anyone else for that matter will be UNhappy if our Cats beat the Griz next week.
Nice try though.....
Yeah, I went too far with that. I just didn't care for the "loser" comment towards a fan who was just trying to lighten things up. It seemed like some misdirected frustration on his part, so I misdirected some of my frustration in kind.
Speaking of misdirected frustration, it looks like neverplayed is out in full force now. When we lose ourselves for a moment, at least we can take solace in knowing that we don't have to be in his shoes all of the time. That's incentive enough for me to sign off for the evening.
Sorry about the pissiness on my part.
Well next week Lulay and company will likely come out firing on all cylinders offensively. That alone is something I'd be worried about if I were a Griz fan. However, that potent offense won't mean a great deal if we don't have a reliable defense to help maintain what used to be comfortable leads on the scoreboard.
A poster mentioned that it was simple, we just got outplayed in the second half today. I guess it just doesn't seem to be all that simple to me if we can shut down a very potent offense to just 10 points and then just flounder it in such a big way to the tune of 41 points in the next half. Was Austin the sole meltdown in the passing defense or was the defense just wiped out completely. To me, somelthing just doesn't make full sense with the suddent meltdown over the past couple of weeks.

Hey lifeloyal~
Good to see you back around here! Hope things are going well down in AZ, gotta enjoy that winter now 'cause the summer will be a bitch! Hey, at least you are out of school and paying off that debt, as opposed to continuing to rack up more! Hope everything is going well, and good luck with the move and future moves!

Cat fans - its best to ignore people like Never Played. He reminds me of a guy on the egriz board who joined about the same time as here. Over there he was 1st saying that the Griz are a class act team in a great staduim. Then after the PSU loss it was Frizzlies this and Frizzlies that. Mentioning that Hauck should be fired and get a job at a div. 3 school. Now he's back on the bandwagon, picking the Griz to win big etc etc.
Annoying. But he's just doing it to get a rise out of people, ignore him.

Bozone, thanks for the welcome back. Things are going pretty well here in AZ and, not to rub it in or anything, but it was sunny and about 70 here today. I caught the brunt of the summer heat and I don't wish that upon anyone. It pretty much brings tears to my eyes each month when I see my acct automatically debited for my school loans. Oh well....as you said, the silver lining is that I'm not racking up anymore.
As for the move, it wasn't too bad. I like it down here but longevity-wise, my heart lies back home in Montana and the Northwest.
How about yourself? How long do you have left with your schooling and sentence in Missoula? Will you be finishing with a doctorate in PT or a master's degree? Nonetheless, good luck with that. Your curriculum is very rigorous as I remember from working with many PT students last year when I was on clinicals.

My goodness, Lulay's stats from this game are amazing. Those of us who said he'd never put up good enough stats to win awards were extremely wrong!

I have about a year and a half left in Missoula to finish with my doctorate, but thank the Lord that I only have to spend about half of that time in Missoula. I really did go into Missoula with a good attitude, I thought I would like it there, but I hate it. It has nothing to do with the "griz thing," I just can't stand the weather and the people. It is amazing how cities only 200 miles apart can be so completely opposite! Missoula is honestly a fun town to party in, but unfortunately I have very little time to do that when I stay in town, which isn't very often. School is rigorous, and keeps me very busy - I still think it would be much better suited as a 4-year program, but that is not a popular position among my fellow students (money). My complaint is that we cram 4 years of material into 2 and 1/2 years of school, with clinicals packed into every free moment. I would rather pay an extra year and be able to breathe a little bit, but that's just me! I come back to Bozeman most weekends in the fall because I am still doing my landscaping work to help try and pay the bills. Honestly, I have stayed in Missoula for two weekends this entire semester so far, and I regretted it both times! I used to think that I would want to live in a medium-sized city for a few years out of college (Boise size), but as I grow sadly older, I just want to get a job and stay in Bozeman. Hopefully it will work out - us PT's have a great job market right now.
Sig, one of these days we will have to get together and meet! Through all our talks over here and on the old espn boards, you seem like a great guy. Hell, I might even know you, we were both in school about the same time, although I think you might have a couple years on me. Next time you head up this way, let me know. In the meantime, please keep adding your input on this board - sane voices are always a welcome addition to the drivel idiots like neverplayed post on here!

The way I saw it was in the first half the defense was fresh and the pressure got to Meyer and allowed the CB's to cover the receivers long enough to allow the rush to take effect. In the second half when Meyer started to go to Kimble, the defense had worn down a little and they weren't getting as much pressure on him and he had time to let Kimble get open. The Kimble kid is a tremendous athlete . It would have taken Joey Thomas to cover him, and it probably would have been a dogfight! When the D-line/linbackers start to slow down....we need safety help over the top! If our defense is predicated on funneling the running game to the safeties, then we need to adjust this so that the linbackers stop the run. It boils down to the fact that playing with undersized faster D-linemen is an advantage and can be a disadvantage if we don't have shut down corners. The other reason we are vulnerable is the fact that we have no running game...I realize we ran for 200+ yards yesterday, but we can't run the ball when they know we need to run. When we pass, we either score to soon, or use almost no clock, and the better offensive teams get to our defense and wear them down.
Next week we have to get to Ochs quickly and often and we have to be able to run the ball. The only other thing that would help are turnovers! If Ochs gets time...he can be as deadly as Meyer. I don't think the friz have anybody like Kimble though...I suppose Heidlberger is the closest but only remotely as athletic and physical. One positive is the fact that Joe Hirst played the whole game and looked great!
