Has a Bobcat player that transferred out ever made it to the NFL? The closest I can think of is Prukop to the CFL but I don't keep track of these guys after they leave town.

I think that calculus will change with the increasing prominence of the program (meaning we are bringing in better players) and the new realities of the transfer portal.

Personally, I expect Sebastian Valdez (honorable mention all conference at UW this year) and Omar Aigbedion (ditto at Baylor) will eventually grace an NFL roster at least for a cup of coffee. T.J. Session who transferred after his Freshman year and has started the last three years at Cal, is another one who will have a chance-- and that's just the most recent crop of transfers.

Given the quality of offers they are receiving, I wouldn't bet against Humphrey and Jones either (though their trajectory is far less clear)

Your right, but of guys that are done with college I don't know that it's ever happened. We're a much different program now though so eventually it will probably happen.

Grady Bennett originally signed with Montana State back in the 80s before transferring to um. That was a huge loss to the program and one of the Pearls greatest blunders. Nah, we don't want a great passing QB.

Hard to believe a guy that was injured for most of the season then came back and got injured again would get much money thrown his way. I bet he comes back and wrecks the league next year. You know he's gonna be hungry.

This one is a bad move. JR Alexander won’t move to a better spot. Didn’t put a ton of stats or film. If he stayed he has the tools to develop into a Lance McCutcheon type WR and would be a stretch the field athlete. He will be lost in the plethora of portal WRs.

Not a huge loss here. Probably couldn't handle the cold.

There were a couple times the last year or two I saw some of the recent transfer guys at a cat football game (guys who were still active with their new team, watching the cat team that they left)….

Honestly my immediate reaction/feeling was- why are you here?

Probably because the players are more mature about people transferring for new opportunities than some random adults posting on this board. I assume they wanted to support their former teammates and friends, and every single one of them put on a Bobcat uniform and hit the field more times than you did.

Do all of you shun people you’ve worked hard with when they leave for a different job?

The vitriol a few of you have about these guys is quite embarrassing and out of proportion. It’s just a football team.

I guess I don't understand why a guy like Rohan is sticking in the craw more than a guy like Scottre. Simply by being here in the first place he's already shown he is a mercenary (not using that term negatively).

Both guys used MSU to leverage an offer somewhere else, I really don't see the difference.

MSU needs guys like Davis, Brott, Taco, maybe Taki in leadership roles next. These guys keep teammates loose but focused. I said maybe Taki because I’m not sure how much he’s like Danny. Danny’s presence on the field was missed imo. He was such a fun loving guy that I think when got serious it had a great effect because he was probably cool about it. Just a hunch.
