Interesting to hear what Eck and players said after the game. Jaxon said that wad the best o-line they played all year. Which is impressive considering they played Oregon. Eck supports Tommy for the Walter Payton, as he does deserve it. Pretty cool to see such high praise.
I couldn’t find his presser. Do you have a link?
Eck was pretty complimentary overall, but I was a little surprised he kind of bragged about limiting Jones and said he wasn’t a reason they lost.

Adam did score more than Eck’s entire offense.
If 4 TDs qualifies as "limited" I wonder how bad it would have gotten had he busted loose!
I think he was referring to his ypc (4.1) but it was affected by a lot of runs on the goal line and short yardage. He’s probably over 5.0 if not for those.
4.1 is definitely under his average for sure, but I agree that it is skewed lower just by situational playcalling.

It’s just that it is hard to see 4 tuds as limited offensive production, and that production was often due to Adam’s extra effort after contact to get the ball across the plane.
They did a better job of tackling in space by LB and safety. Decent holes at line were 5 yd gains vs 10 or even 20+

I guess that’s limiting of sorts.

Adam had 164 total yards and 4 TDs. Essentially 100 yards on the ground. It was a dominant effort against a good defense.

Is there a reason our blue and gold pants don't have a stripe, but the white ones do? Both would look better with a stripe

Love the night night photo. Another example of Mellott letting loose a little since knowing each game can be his last.

Might’ve already been discussed but did anyone notice that McCullouch broke a would’ve-be pick6 in the second quarter vs Idaho?

May have been discussed already, but in the picture of Tommy above he has a patch near his left shoulder that has a 41 inside the outline of the state of MT. I noticed several other players have this same patch, but I cannot figure out what the common bond is of which group is wearing it. I thought maybe it was just the captains - no. Just the seniors? No. Guys from Montana? No. Anyone know the distinction of who gets to wear this patch?

It's for the Montana guys. Started this year I believe.

As you may know, #41 is a legacy number for Montana State, representing Montana as the 41st state admitted to the Union as well as a tribute to members of the 1941 Bobcat Team who were killed in action during WW II. Wearing jersey number #41 is an honor bestowed on an outstanding senior player who is also a Montanan. Since Coach Vigen wanted a way to recognize all the other deserving Montana Seniors on the team, he came up with the idea of a 41 patch. I think it’s a fantastic tradition which started this year. You will notice senior DE, Brody Grebe from Melstone, MT. is wearing it this year.
