With any luck your "powers that be" won't use this unfortunate incident to institute "new tailgating policies" like we now have in Missoula. God forbid anything gets out of hand at the Brawl, the administrators are likely to call in the Guard and place the entire state on lockdown.

Since things are well under hand and everybody is sorry I have a few comments:

From this moment on the act will be known as the, "Riot"

This conversation happened saturday

Jag: "Cardiac I don't think you should go over to those students and give them shots of Jaeger" "Cardiac don't take the Hot damm also!"

Cardiac: after coming back from the student tailgaters "It's all good Jag they all had 1 or 2 shots and borrowed my lighter and Swiss army knife" :D

I still can't believe I missed a riot while I was inside watching the football game. Some people just don't know how to handle drinking.

Never mistake activity for accomplishment.

I'm sick of the man because the man is a thief.

So are we (ISU FANS) going to run into any problems with the 1% of the MSU fans this weekend ripping our stuff up. I've read all your posts and know all of you are very concerned about this. Are my windows going to be smashed in and my car keyed if we park in the wrong spot? Where is the best place to park so we don't come out of the game and find the car on blocks?

Make sure you park where our finest direct you to go. We're probably going to have much better security after the crowd problems our security has had the last two weeks and I like to think our student body will do a better job of policing their own.

It's regretable, but this can happen anywhere. Someone drinking to much, think they are funny and their friends push them along.

I havn't seen anything like this before (but obviously could have happened).

As to MSU's finest (campus police), they might cause more problems than they prevent.

BLC, that's kind of what I'd tend to think given what happened with the one that got his head split open, but in this case, I'll give them the benefit of doubt. At least I hope they improve things a little--geez, I feel intimidated just walking around with the wife and kids

I hate people who decide to mess it up for everyone. This is not the way Bobcat fans act and I am embarrassed that it happened to us.
Unfortunately, that IS the way too many of your fans act. You thought I was whining when I related the way we were treated two years ago - before, during and long after the game. There were zero law enforcement folks in sight for the entire ordeal. Your crowd is on the verge of an out-and-out riot. Something better be straightened out soon or people are going to be seriously hurt. As you can tell by the lackluster sales of Griz-Cat tickets in Missoula the GRIZ fans are staying away in droves this year.

Bengal fans, don't park in a public place if there is anything on your vehicle that indicates you are from ISU. I will not park my car in Bozeman anytime of the year, let alone game day. My entire family will never attend another game in Bozeman because we're concerned for our personal safety and our vehicles.

Do mean like having Bozeman sucks keyed into your car, or a 30+ year old grabbing a teenage kid hat that says Cats and throwing it on the ground everytimg he puts it on and threatening the kid.

I'm not defending our students by any means but there are just as many idiots in Missoula as Bozeman.

Oh, and I'm sure the griz fans wont becoming to Bozeman for the Cat Griz game :bs: My guess is the fans staying away in "DROVES" has to do with your quaterback or lack there of.

62- Good to hear! We don't want you back. I actually am joking a little bit, but come on- that is a pretty harsh post. I witnessed a 45 year Cat Fan get peed on by a jizz at the 1st game we won up there. Don't sit there and act like this. It is not a dangerous place by any means. This kind of thing goes on at every school in the nation. I feel terrible that it happened at MSU, but really- you are nervous for your families safety? Get real! If you are truely worried, then do stay away- just one more seat open for a CAT FAN. To ISU Fans- you are more than welcome- we like you more the jizz fans anyway- I promise to not be to hard on your car.

keyed car in the Southgate mall parking lot-made the mistake of having MSU license plates.

I think both Montana schools need to do a whole lot better.

Suckit, your handle says volumes about your character. I wrote to the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce and your AD two years ago to detail our wonderful experience with your "fans." Both responded that they knew they had a problem and would be taking steps to prevent such incidents from happening again. It seems evident that little or no action has been taken. Suckit, I suspect that you are the one leading the obscene chants the entire game??!!

A 45 year old griz fan shoved me with both his hands after he heard me say "go cats" when I was a sophmore. Knocked me forward. The Griz had even won the game already!

I agree both schools could improve. Lets try and set a good example in
Bozeman.

62Griz, your handle speaks volumes about your age. Honestly, I don't participate in the "obscene" chants, but it happens at both venues. Let's not play the "holier than thou" game when it comes to one university's fans compared to the other. There are plenty of people who take the rivalry far too seriously and then alcohol takes it to yet another level. I am all for a major rivalry, but that won't stop me from being civil with Griz fans or even enjoying a beer with them. And by the way, the first sentence was meant to be taken in jest.

It's too bad this thread got hijacked  It is NOT a cat-Griz issue. Some vandals destroyed someone else's property at a football game. I trust the local officials will try to prevent this from happening in the future. And as for our QB situation it's like Kramer once said..the Griz-cat game is a long hard season away, a lot can change before I get my snowblower out for winter....

'62 griz has a documented past of being out of touch with little grip on any semblance of reality.

I wouldn't worry about any gripes that he makes, he drank the kool-aid a long time ago and deserves as much regard as the schizo-bum that harrasses people outside of your local laudry-mat.

Ignore this smoked-out buffoon, he is the Ward Churchill of Grizville.

62- THINK WHAT YOU WILL. The reason for my handle is directly intended for people like yourself. I have always had respect for the grizzles as a football program; it is the fans the ruin it for them. By-the-way, I do start those chants in the crowd- better keep your family far away- I would hate for your children to hear those awful words "eat sh*t jizz, Go Cats Go!" I'm sure it would scar them for life. Life I said before- GET REAL!

62 and bronco: What a couple of whiny bitch losers.

I for one hope to never see people like 62 in Bozeman. He thinks he is making a threat by saying he'll never again come to Bozeman. I say good riddance. "Out-and-out riot"!?!? Are you freakin' kidding me?!! You make Bozeman sound like L.A. after the Rodney King verdict. Give me a break. :-({|= If you and your pacifist hippy friends feel the need to stay away from Bozeman, I am more than confident there will be plenty of other people who will gladly take your spot at the Cat-griz game come November.

I rest my case - you jerks more than prove my contention that you have lousy fans! AND, I will not be going away. You say you have a great atmosphere and I will be challenging that with the facts. You got your wish of me not being back in Bozeman - I'll bet some NDSU fans won't be back too!

62.......Thats kind of funny that you say the Cats have lousy fans. I have no affilation with MSU (never went to school there or had any relative that did) and I became a Cat fan partly because of seeing the way griz fans acted. That is all I will say, I don't want to upset a fan of the greatest football program in the nation.

Easy there 62. Hating the griz and their entire program does not a lousy fan make. That is one hell of a leap that you just can't make.

I think both sides of the fence have beaten this topic to death several times over the past year+ and we are never going to come to even some common ground. There are bad fans on both sides that mar the reputuations of each school but overall, the vast majority of fans are not like that and you should know that. Saying that the other schools fans are all bad and your school's are perfect is just idiot and shows your inability to be reasonable.

The decent griz fans who frequent this board are always welcomed, i.e. Meat, Grizlaw, Jagur, etc. Try and post to their level and you might find a better reception.
