Looked like he was moving around well on sidelines at ISU. Someone said he was limping bad on sidelines vs Mercyhurst but when you have a boot it just looks like you’re limping.

Caden Dowler limped off straight to the locker late in the half. Out of pads with ice on his left knee now.

From what I'm seeing Perkins is nowhere near ready to play. Right ankle heavily wrapped with a limp still.

What do we know about Blake Schmitt? Is he out for the year?

The announcers on the post game radio show said that Scmitt's injury is season ending....

Feel bad for Schmidt. And that's a big loss for the team as well. Some of our young guys on DL are going to need to step up and that is a tough ask for a position that requires a lot of physical development.

And is a medical redshirt possible?

I don't think so, as a player needs to have played in fewer than 30% of a team's scheduled games to qualify. Schmidt would be at 5/12 or 42% participation at the time he was injured.

I heard it too on the radio post game show but nowhere else. I assume that Vigen made the announcement on the pregame radio broadcast. Blake was on the sideline in street clothes with no obvious injury but I did see him struggling after a play in the Idaho State game.

I don’t recall Vigen saying anything about Schmidt during postgame press conference. However, I was having technical difficulties at first and missed his initial comments.

Damn... well I hope somebody heard wrong, but I'm guessing we'll know soon. HUGE blow if he's out for the year.

Well I feel a whole lot better about this situation, IF what people are referring to is Ty's comments during TV broadcast pre game. I'm just about to watch the replay now and Ty says, "Well we just got bad news about Blake Schmidt, doesn't sound like he's going to play this." Almost sounded like he was trying to add "game" on the end there... or I guess he might have been meaning to add "Season" or "Year, but neither of those comments make much sense in the context that he's already played this season\year, for five games. Yes, I'm overthinking, and we'll know soon enough.

Figured as much but wondered how an injury would affect it.
