I hate losing good coaches but I also love having coaches other programs covet.

Both are replaceable. Good for them for finding a pay day
Johnson will hurt but we have had two great OL coaches in a row so I trust Vigen to find a great replacement. I think the loss of Walker is a good thing. Housewright was more creative and called a better game but he had his off field issues and did not treat the players well. I think we (Vigen) can do better.
Better?! It was the #1 offense in the nation!
Yes but he was basically running Housewrights offense with Great players.
He was running the offense Vigen wanted, and called games well. Lets not diminish the season because of the way it ended.
This question of play calling Monday has been bugging me. This was the "run the damn ball" team. Imagine if we come out throwing and it misses, and we get down 21-3. The howls from the fans would still be echoing today. The run game got us where we got to. Arguably we could have adjusted sooner but there were plenty of pass plays called in the first half that didn't work because of constant pressure, inaccurate throws, dropped balls, etc. The bottom line is we got outplayed by a team that looked more ready to play than we did. Put that blame wherever you like but I really don't have an issue with the game plan, and i think it's a stretch to say walker/Vigen's offense will be better off without walker here. We loved it all year long. We didn't play complimentary football Monday (D got worked for long stretches) and that made the offense look worse.
We did have an 11 minute drive in the first half, just couldn't finish it off. We were also right where we wanted to be to take the game in the mid 8 and I think that is why they went for the 4th down. Just a little better execution on that 3rd and 4th down and the game is completely different. It's not like we just didn't show up in the first half, we just didn't finish. Whether that is because of players or coaches being unprepared, I guess we will probably never truly know.

Cats were not held under 30 points all year.

This is when I wish we could at least have a list of possible candidates to see. Sure hope that we can hang on to the rest of the staff.

Is there ever a post season press conference regarding these things? Can't recall.

Well new Offensive coordinator isn’t Justin Udy. Hes off to Boise. Closer to home for him. I’d imagine we hear something soon regarding coordinators and hopefully some players coming in

I posted this elsewhere, but Mike Bath is a guy who worked under Vigen at Wyoming and he’s currently the OC/QB at Indiana State.

Probably the Griz right? Did you know that they beat NDSU twice since 2011? The banners are going up in the Adams Center (or the new bubble) later this spring I here.

I sincerely hope that Dallas doesn't hire Deion. The whole retaining Vigen emotional roller coaster will start all over again. Not that Coach V will get the Colorado job, but if Colorado goes with a college coach there will be a domino effect. CU poaches a P5 coach, that P5 team goes MWC coach, and Vigen's name is floated out there again. Ughhhhh

Deion has the best odds of becoming the Cowboys' next coach and I just read an article saying Deion will "most definitely accept the role if it is offered".

Brother, just get used to it. Vigen is not long for MSU.

Oh I know, after WSU fell through, I was just hoping for one more year. But at this point, we would have been WAY BETTER OFF, timing-wise, if he took the WSU job.

Best of luck to Coach Udy, Boise State is certainly quite the destination these days for ex-MSU assistants! I think MSU was lucky to have him for as long as they did after he never got a chance to do the job he was originally hired for.

Honestly, seems like a great time for him to move on if the opportunity presents itself.

I’m just living in fantasy land on this one, but Colorado will be in a weird spot when he leaves them. Will they be falling back into irrelevancy, or bring in another flashy big dollar coach to continue the excitement they had. Long story short, I don’t think the dominos would fall that time around where we’d lose Vigen. Would not surprise me if a current coach on staff would be their next pick anyway, Gary Harrell would continue the current culture they have.

Dallas is not going to hire Deion. Kingsberry is the one.
