When I called the ticket office earlier this week, they said the game was completely sold out, even all the SRO tickets. Now when I look online, there are seats\tickets available. Not sure what's up with that.

I thought I saw student tickets were free this week, could it be hold over for that maybe?

Honestly, just walk around. You will be welcomed into nearly all tailgates. I love chatting with opposing fans. There’s nothing I like hearing more than, everyone is so nice here.

You won’t have a problem finding food and drinks. Maybe carry some $5 bills to chip in at various tailgates.

The dude said the tickets were all sold out, and now I'm seeing tickets available on the official ticket site, not 3rd party. Oh well, maybe they released more that were held back for students or something... was just somewhat surprised the person on the phone didn't mention that as an option. All good.

Not 100% sure but I believe the ones, newly available, were the ones held for visiting fans that didn’t end up being purchased. I think they had to set some aside.

It's not. There are still tickets available in 13 different sections, and SRO, from the official MSU Ticketing (Ticketswest) site.

They also open up tbe Handycap seats if they are not sold by Friday. Got a friend an awesome seat for Cat Griz last year that way.

The tickets in 124 and 107 are likely Yale tickets that were returned. After those sections there are few seats scattered around.
