2/3 = 66.66%
33/62 = 53.23

Now, there's a 13.43% difference between your remark and the actual data.

The real lesson here is that even after a good 3 game road trip and 1st place in the conference, most fans want Mick to go

There should be a little button that say quote on the top right of every single post. You just click that on the message you want to quote.

7-2 in the Big Sky.........Mick has done a whale of a job! Can anyone say "MSU hosts Big Sky Tournament?"

This team has passed most of the tests so far...the only pitfall was the trip to Portland and EWU. The big one will come against UM and PSU in must win games at home. If the CATS can take care of that...they are legit. You would have thought they were after the first three, but doubt started to creep in a little on the last road trip. They need to leap this next final hurdle.

How about Coach of the Year? Picked dead last and left for the wolves to a possible BSC championship? My compliments to a nice job by the players and coaching staff. They have transformed into a TEAM! :D

Be careful; 2003's football coach of the year was let go after the 2004 season. There's still five more conference games left (but I do like our chances on paper). Can't stand the last road trip they've got to make.

I really have not been reading this thread much, dispite it's 60 or so posts, but isn't it amazing how a few wins will take you from 2 to 1 margin to almost pull even!!

Give a guy 15 years at any job and people will be able to come up with some, reasons to complain!

Has he been around for that long??

Here's my take...if someone is the head coach for 15 years, it takes more than 1 mediocre (or bad) year to fire them. I know some of you will disagree but I believe in loyalty and it comes before wins. He should be given much more leeway when his contract is up for consideration. Thanks to the legislature, this is once a year. However, there is a bill in the legislature right now trying to get that changed.

Here's the link:
Bill Draft Number: LC0792 -- "Authority to hire coaches for longer duration"

It's already passed the senate.

Edited by kmax to fix link that was making page too wide.

It's about time, but we need to make sure we have an AD sharp enough to not allow a buy-out clause; but, moving up from 100k to at least 550k would be easily circumvented anyway...
