Well, you can't get too disappointed about tonight, and the team just has to forget about it and come back strong on Saturday. It's not like anyone thought we would go undefeated in league this year, hopefully we got all of our bad plays out of the system tonight. We didn't match up very well against Eastern, and on top of that we just played horrible. We need a much more intense defensive effort against Portland State to have a chance - pressure the hell out of their point guard, who isn't the regular starter. This loss can be no big deal, as long as they have a short memory and come out with more intensity and focus on Saturday at Portland State High School.
On the other note, Mick's attitude towards winning Big Sky games on the road is one of the things that bothers me the most about him. Every road trip, he always talks about hoping to "steal" one out of two. BULLSH*T!!! If that is all you expect out of your players, that is all you are going to get. He should rightfully expect to win every game, and pass on that killer mindset to his team. Yes, winning on the road is difficult, but it is also the hallmark of a mentally sound team. Until Mick can get his teams to consistently play as well on the road as they do at home, we will always be a mediocre program at best.

And who was one of Blaine Taylor's assistants recently? Krysko. I think he is going to really improve that program. YIKES!Helcat72 wrote:I don't like the "typical Big Sky Road game" that Mick talks about...Like he is just waiting for the other shoe to fall!
I remember back to Blaine Taylor...I hated the guy because he beat us repeatedly...but the thing I liked about him was the fact that he really expected to win all of his games and won a good deal of them!

Oh well, worst case is nice.
We could lose all our road games from here on out and WIN all our remaining home games and we still win the conf. Winning the first 3 on the road was huge.
Oh course I don't want it to come down to that.
I know that the Chronicle article said that, but that can't be right. If we lose our four remaining road games and win out at home we are 10-4. If Portland State wins out with the exception of their game in Bozeman they are 11-3.
PSU is not going to win out.

Nor is MSU going to win all of it's home games.
