This thread has got one one of the stupidest I have ever seen. It's just one big pissing match that we all know exists. Cat fans hate the griz, griz fans hate the Cats; big surprise. I will say one thing, though -- when the griz where led by Don Read, I hated the griz but I respected the hell out 'em, players & staff. These days, I still hate the griz but I haven't the slightest shred of respect for their program. They belittle every team in the conference, their administration feels as though they are above anyone else, their fans have become spoiled, arrogant babies, whining over anything that doesn't go their way. Honestly, if the Big Sky conference is below you, please feel free to move on.

As for FTG or FTC or ESG GCG, I think it's all childish bullsh$t. I have never chanted it, nor will I teach my kids to chant it. It's a classless act that will only come back to bite you in the arse. I honestly believe FTG was born out of the streak, when it seemed like the Cats would never turn things around and some fans thought that FTG might be all they have. I still cringe when I hear it chanted at Bobcat games, as though some people are too ignorant or creative to come up with anything else. I would rather my team take care of business on the field. Whenever you compete, whether it be athletics or anything else, you have to know how to handle the winning as well as handle the losing. Somewhere along the way, some Cat fan have forgot how to handle the losses and some griz fans have forgotten to how handle the success.

My uncle lives next door to the AD for Utah State... apparently Bobby Hauck is their #1 priority. Also, a guy from my office sat across the aisle from Bobby on a flight to SLC just last night too. Apparently Bobby is headed to Logan to accept the job and an announcement will be made later today.

I just think it's ironic that there are 5 pages of poeple ADAMANT that although none of them heard it or saw it, they KNOW Bobby led FTC cheers, and of course they CERTAINLY know his intent behind a comment about Bostick. I posted a comment based on a statement that I ACTUALLY heard. I also know the history between Bostick and Hauck. I believe his on-air comments were a direct slam at Bostick based on the words he chose. Several Griz fans heard the same comments and said that Bobby seemed to backtrack after the initial comment. Fine, I can't argue with that.

You go and post that paragraph which YOU didn't hear personally, but felt it was important enough to prove your point. There's a big difference. But you'll never understand that because you still can't believe that Gurnsey degrades opposing players all the time. Lucky for you I was too lazy to record any of the radio broadcasts this year.

1. Post a link or supporting evidence that this happened at all, better yet find Cat fans that confirm it.

2. If he did say it, I want to be the first to nominater BB to the Bobcat Hall of Fame. He's a great player and he knows trash when he sees it.

Ridiculous, all ridiculous. Bobcats fans don't have anything to talk about, because once again your season is over before Thanksgiving, so they will find whatever they can to bitch about. You all need to start a new thread sharing your Thanksgiving recipes cause thats all you have.

Maybe the reason why the Griz beat the Bobcats is because their coach cares so much about beating the Bobcats. Maybe the only success the Bobcats have had against the Griz in the past 22 years is when their coach cared so much about beating the Griz. I used to live with some Bobcat football players and the things they said Kramer said about the Griz were freaking hilarious. I agree that Kramer let some off the field issues get out of hand but that guy cared more about his players than anybody I had ever met. He wore his heart on his sleeve and that wore off on his team. To us as fans this is our biggest game of the year, well besides the playoffs, and I would be pissed if our coach just thought it was another game. We all know Hauck isn't the best with reporters but he is exactly the kind of coach I want coaching the Griz!

I was at the game and was standing at the 40 yard line on the East side until after the Weber-EWU game. Then I went down on the field and did the usual chit chatting. I never heard the FTC cheer at all. I did hear and see the team get rather excited when Weber fumbled it knowing that once again they were Co-Big Sky Conference Champions for the 11th year in a row! Maybe the cheer Big Sky Champs and FTC got mixed up? Or maybe you, as a Bobcat fan, were so upset with the outcome of the game that deep down inside your brain was just thinking FTC FTC.

I can't say for sure whether the chant happened or not. I was standing at the bottom row on the northern 40 yard line and talking to a kid I coached in high school who was on the cat sideline. I did not hear any of that and he didn't either. We were talking to each other, so if it was said, it certainly wasn't loud enough to interrupt or conversation.

I was also there in 2006 after that hard hitting game and when the game was over, everyone went out to shake hands except Jefferson and Bostick. I am not even going to guess his motives for not shaking the griz players hands after the game. I will leave that to cat and griz fans who seem to be able to read minds.

I did notice Shulte seek out Bolton for the Cats and give him a big hug after the game. It was nice to see the kids who played together in high school still able to be friends after the game.

I noticed the same thing between some West high kids--It was Fischer and I believe Selle.

On other notes--The FTC chant happened, who started it? I don't know, but it happened. I heard it first hand.
If Bostick said that to a Griz coach, I'm just as embarrassed about that as a Griz should be over the chant. Also if our players were doing the things that were said by our tunnel--I'm embarrassed about that as well. Bottom line is that the only thing I know for sure because I witnessed it was the FTC chant. I expect it from students and even coaches and players while in the locker room--just not at center field. That is the last I'll comment on it cause some will never be convinced. Dead issue--Griz play on 11/29, Cats don't. Good luck.

The FTC was over the top, but so is chanting ESG GCG on every home game regardless of who you play. I went to the Cat/Sac state game 3 years ago and had a good time at the great falls tailgate until they burned a teddy bear before going into the game. I didn't get it. You were playing Sac State.

I like having a rivalry, but it seems to be life and death to too many people.

That's because they have a bear problem in California! I'm surprised you didn't know that.

During the Furman playoff game I about got into it with some jackass because he was chanting ESG, GCG and I told him that was retarded. If anything, chant ESPaladins, GCG. He didn't agree and apparently had a bit much liquid courage because apparently what I said were fighting words...anyway it ended without incident, but I agree with you.

They need to start burning something else. The Griz are like 32-4 since the burning started and the cats are like 20-15. Mind you 20-15 is a good run for the cats, they even bought and won a playoff game.
