Has there been any talk about the poor Bobcat fans that got sprayed in the face with the fire extinguisher after the game?
It wasn't a fire extinguisher
Alright. What was it and it was BS either way.
It was a fog machine. I think the guy that got blasted by it posted on here about it... but I may have imagined that. lol

I had never been to a game at Wagriz Stadium before, but a friend found a couple tickets for me almost for free. I also felt like the Cats would win so it seemed like a good chance to go. I almost didn’t go because of all of the crap I’ve heard about Griz fans over the years being rude and nasty, etc.. Some even claimed it could be dangerous to go to a game there. I went with a young man who is big and strong just in case. Well I found none of those claims to be true. Every Griz fan that I talked to, whether it was before, during, or after the game was decent at least and many of them down right nice. Sure they were some nasty things yelled at our players and coaches, but I’ve heard much worse at the Eastern Washington games i’ve gone to.
One more thing I thought was hype that turned out to be true is how loud it is in there. Our seats were on the side but very close to the north end zone and it’s loud enough to make your ears hurt. At least it made my ears hurt.
Maybe I got lucky but I’m really glad I went and would go again in a heartbeat.
Yep I’ve been saying that forever. I think a lot of griz fans are delusional and most of them are most definitely living in the past. Like Colter and Schmidt said, it’s a detriment to their program and they don’t even see it. And I LOVE that!

But all that said, I have been to probably 15 or so brawls in Missoula and every one was a great experience. You’ll always have some idiots just like we have our own, but they don’t depict the entire fanbase. I went last week with a couple griz fan buds and had a great time like always. And nothing is more fun than winning there!

I will say that Wash-Griz is an excellent venue from the seats down to the field. But I’m sorry their concourse is absolutely horrendous. It’s literally a hazard just trying to use the bathrooms. So congested and often times you can’t even move because the bathroom lines run onto the concession lines that runs into other bathroom lines that run into other concession lines. They can brag about the noise and the inside of the stadium, but everything surrounding that is embarrassing honestly.

I also don’t think their tailgate setup is very good. At least where we were outside the Adams center. Like the concourse inside the stadium, it is just way too packed. The back of one tailgate literally almost touches the back of another tailgate because it’s just a parking lot. Then add in all the people walking it was miserable.

But aside from those gripes I’d still go back anytime. Nearly all of my fan encounters were positive.
Good post. As far as the actual stadium, layout, watching a game from there it is absolutely one of the best, probably the best in FCS. Way better than ours. But, from just getting around, and concessions\bathrooms as you say, way worse than ours. Our tailgating layout, Cat Prowl, everything else surrounding the pre game, is way better than what the dark pink has.

@94VegasCat from what others have posted, it was the DJ, a fog machine, and the cat fans were either ok with it or asked him to do it...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I have had some thoughts the last couple of days listening to broadcast and fan forum comments alike in regards to the super brawl.
I had the fight on Montana broadcast on in the background and it was fun to listen from a Cat perspective.
One of the two radio host was suggesting that you don’t get a ticket by yourself if you get one in Bozeman get a couple two or three because you’re gonna be in the middle of Cat fans. I always think this comment is pretty weak whether you’re on one side or the other of the rivalry.
I’ve been going to Missoula for over 40 years and have had good experiences and bad ones. Been in my Chera fights over the years as I was younger and as I got into my 40s even had a lot of 20 and 30-year-olds cause fights.
The last one was about 12 years ago or 13 in Missoula at Red‘s and had a fight with two guys, but other cub fans stepped in kicked them out and I never paid for a drink again.
This year I sat in the middle of the north end zone with a couple of friends. On my way in I had good exchanges with many fans from the opposite side and even stopped and talked to a few grade school age kids wearing their maroon and wished them well and visited. The irony of this was there was a couple of drunk guys trying to hit me in the head with Twinkies back behind me and actually hit one of the little kids who was a cub fan in the face. I was able to tell the kid he keep cheering for your team, but realize you have some idiot fans as well and not everybody is bad.
Had a good time in Missoula and ran into some of my old buddies from Butte wearing their maroon and we had some drinks.
Can’t wait for this game! Bobcats by 10
