do they plan to have the IPF open before games with events, food/drinks, and vendors like other teams do?
great on a hot or freezing day.
I was told the QB club would be using part of the IPF as their new tailgating area, but the building is rather large, so others might use it as well.

Anyone else super thankful we aren’t the ones putting up a bubble indoor facility??? 😂
Definitely. But really, they serve the same purpose. The on field benefits will be the same.

With that said, this is just another thing that shows just how far ahead MSU is over UM as a whole. MSUs IPF will be one of the nicest in the country at the FCS level. Just another new structure on campus that significantly benefits Student/Athletes.
I agree they serve the same purpose, but only in one area. Having the football team practice indoors is the only way they're serving the same purpose. I don't think the on-field benefits will be the same. MSU's IPF is leaps and bounds nicer than UM's IPB and is going to attract better athletes and therefore create better football teams. The facility is right next door to the football field and the training center at MSU; at UM the IPB is significantly further away. Every recruit that visits both UM and MSU is going notice that fact and it will be pointed out by MSU's coaches. That's an absolutely glaring difference and I think MSU's facility will do a better job of making the on-field product better than UM's bubble.
I like to make fun of um as much as the next guy but their bubble isn't that far from the stadium. Right after you cross the walking bridge it's right to your right. So pretty close. Not as close as us. Now their training center and locker rooms are on the opposite end of the stadium as their bubble, but then so is ours. So ultimately you have to walk outside to get from the locker room to the indoor what have you, for both. The distance is maybe 100 yards shorter at MSU?
You're probably right about that. From the southeast corner of the BAC to the northwest door of the MSU IPF is about 150 yards, but it doesn't even feel like you're going anywhere because once you step out the door it's about 50 yards to the concourse of the stadium and then about 20-30 yards from the concourse to the IPF on nearly level ground. From the SE corner of the IPB to Runner-Up Center is about 350 yards. You can cut through Adams and make is shorter but it's a maze with a lot of stairs to navigate. Is 350 yards a long way? Idk. Is 200 yards significantly further? Idk. The MSU IPF is not on the opposite end of the stadium from the BAC, it's basically kitty-corner with the NW corner sitting at about the 30-yard line.

Yes. How big is the one in the bubble? Will your indoor track teams still have to bus to meets because booby needed 20 more yards of turf?

Silly me, I’ll be sure to watch for the 300 meter race, the 4x300 meter relay and the 4x1200 meter relay in the Olympics this summer.

I guess you don’t understand how a track works. You don’t have to stop after one lap, you can keep running. You should also read up on indoor track events. The NCAA has a whole season devoted to indoor track. In fact, this years championship were run on a 200 meter track. Yes, 400 meter races and longer run on a 200 meter track. NAU has a 300 meter track in their facility.

GRZFNZ thought there was a wall at the end of the 300 meters so races couldn’t be longer than that.

If you really want to confuse GRZFNZ explain to him why oval tracks have staggered starting positions.

I thought grisfnz might be in to something here, but then I realized it would be hard to fit a 3000 meter track in a bubble or a hard side IPF. That's a big ass lap. Also the IPF for the 60m would be rather small. Keep up the great ideas though grisfnz. I like where you are taking this.
