When we go to missoula and beat them what exactly does that mean? We will give them there second loss in confrence wich means they will not have any part of the championship. right? second will they still make the playoffs and even host a fist round game?

Correct...if MSU wins they and UM finish tied for 2nd at 5-2 and EWU would win the outright championship.
UM will make the playoffs and almost certainly still host a first round game even with a loss next week.

IF you go to Missoula and beat "them"
Montana would be in the playoffs regardless of a win/loss next week, but I am almost certain that a loss would give "them" a road game in the first round.

Nick:
What is up with that signature line on your post? The whole of Grizzly Nation is repeating those statistics like a mantra, hoping it'll stimulate memories of better (Grizzly) days.
Is the Nation of Grizzly worried? If, collectively, you're not worried, why quote statistics that are meaningless on the field of play?

As a proud member of the Griz Nation, I'll speak for myself and say I'm not worried.
Nice to know that Air Force Officers are still carrying the torch...somethings never change.

Good luck this weekend Cats. With decent weather this could be the highest scoring Griz/Cat game ever. I don't know if either D can stop the other O. A turnover or two could make or break this game. If one team gets down by even 10, playing catch up could be tough. I'll save my predictions for the predictions thread when it comes out.
What if we win by 20+

You know what would be fun - to beat the griz by 20 or more, and if nothing else, cause the selection committee to pause for just a moment. Think about it. Both MSU and UM would have the same number of losses against 1aa competition. Even though we would have the same record in the BSC, going head to head they would be picking the third place finisher in the conference. I don't really think UM has a chance to shut down our offense, we're on too big a roll and their secondary doesn't exactly strike fear into the opposition. We just rolled up almost 700 yards on the statistically best defense in the conference. We've been hurt badly the last 2 weeks by the 2 best receivers in the league taking advantage of weaknesses. Are any of UM's receivers as good? If thats the case, Oches will find them and it'll be another track meet. If not, I like our chances. Would they consider 3 from the BSC?

PDXKat: Cat logic same number of loses versus 1-AA teams. Forgot to mention the cats one less win against 1-AA teams. Adams state doesn't count numbnu$$

I can feel it. Jag is already getting worked up about a Bobcat win and justifying the selection. Scared are ya jag? A little early to stoop to name calling is'nt it?
