VERY BAD NEWS

I was just informed today that the Cat/Griz satellite party here in Bend, OR isn't happening this year as no one is carrying the game. So now I won't be able to even watch the game on TV, I will be listening over the internet. Does anyone know a way to get the game via Direct TV or Dish Network? Apparently Fox Sports isn't carrying the game so that is why most parties are out of luck. If anyone has a solution please let me know. If not I guess it will be a few of us enjoying one final Saturday here on the Bobcat Nation!

The last I had read I heard it woudl be on Altitude (both on Direct TV and DISH). I will attempt to confirm this for you though. So if its on Direct TV any sport bar should be able to pick it up as most have Direct TV (So they can get NFL football package).

Here is a copy of the game broadcast information that was emailed to me:

Reminder of how to view the game … [I know you've seen this many times, but most of you still have not confirmed with your bars - please do so to guarantee your location will receive the game].

 Satellite Coordinates: The coordinates will be available toward the end of the week (hopefully, by Thursday) and be emailed to you as well as listed on the MSU Cat/Griz party web page at http://www.montana.edu/alumni/cat_griz_satellite.htm. The coordinates come from Bobcat Athletics, as soon as they are informed by the media.

 DISH Network: Channel 410, Altitude Sports and Entertainment Network. This option will only be available to customers in CO, WY, KS, NE, MT, ID, UT, NM and portions of SD and NV. For venues in these areas you will need to have the TOTAL CHOICE basic programming package.

 Direct TV: Users need to verify with their venue that they have the SPORTS PACK which includes Altitude Sports and Entertainment Network, Channel 644, as well as other regional sports channels. Updated information from Shelly Harper, Altitude TV: “We have just learned that in some instances Altitude is available to commercial establishments on an "a la carte" basis. If the establishment does not have Altitude, you need to request that the owner order Altitude. Service can be ordered on a monthly basis. I would think that owner would pay the monthly fee with a promise to bring a large crowd for the game and/or take up a collection from the group to pay the fee. We recommend that your group make the requests ASAP as it may take a few days to authorize the signal”.

Below is information for both DISH NETWORK and DIRECTV that you may want to pass along to your bar contacts. There have already been several locations that had to order the package...so please please please, double check.

DISH NETWORK (Altitude on Channel 410)

To add this service for DISH Network, Commercial Call Center at 1-800-454-0843.

DIRECTV (Altitude on Channel 644)

To add this service for DIRECTV, Commercial Call Center at 1-888-200-4388 or 305-816-2525.

Estimated rates per month for commercial establishments are: Please remember that pricing is based on Fire Occupancy Certificate.

1-50 $29.99

51-100 $34.99

101-150 $39.99

151-200 $44.99

201+ $49.99

You don't know how tempting that is. I really want to, we will see. If you see someone wearing a "Screw the Griz" sweatshirt it is probably me. There are only two like them in the world so chance are pretty good it is me.
