Yea I went to the game. We looked better in spurts, but overall we still need a LOT of work if we have any chance of winning conference. Our defense is pretty good, good man to man guarding, but Towsley is just not... very good. Team is getting better, I give em that. We have talent, just no consistent team play. Yet.

Let me guess Towsley is soft and not aggressive? What a surprise!! That kid needs to get some fire in him!! How many kids out there dream of playing DI hoops and never get a shot? He acts like he doesn't care to even be playing basketball.

Towlsey can't jump, run, or shoot. He is terribly uncoordinated. Plus I will agree with you, it seems like he is there because he has to be. Doesn't seem to play with any passion.

A win is a win-and it's been a while since we had one of those.
We beat pretty road weary Utah Valley team. They didn't shoot very well. Some of the credit for that goes to our defense.
I'm afraid the result could be reversed when we play them in Orem on the 23rd, unless we improve a lot.
Improvement can happen. Miller sometimes forgets he's the point guard and takes off down the court leaving the rebounder wondering what to do. He's also a little off on some of his passes. But he kept hustling.
I like Pratt as the first "big man" off the bench better than Woodall right now. Woodall is struggling.
Towsley played like a big guy with a bad back. He has no flexibility and no jumping ability whatsoever. But I think we're a little better with him in there than not. Boy it will be nice when Al Beye gets back. I hope he'll be healthy.
This team shoots an awful lot of bricks. I mean really ugly looking outside shots. Hopefully that will improve too.

If our team as they are can't shoot the 3 and can't shoot free throws we're in sorry shape for conference. The only thing we have going for us is Dissley. It looks like last year's team...Dissley playing the part of Jason Erickson.

Last night in the post game show Durham mentioned a couple thing about the offense.
He felt very Good about how the defense was coming around. Jefferson held there
leading scorer in check all night. He scored about 25 vrs Boise and Weber. Durham
though was concerned about the offense, he said he does not think the players are really in
sync yet. He feels the individual players have the offensive talent but it is a matter getting
them all page. The other thing that he was concerned about was Dissly's endurance. He
said that in the San Jose (the last of three game run) game Dissly played lethargic (and
scored 0 pts) and even said that Dissly mentioned how drained he was after the game.
Durham is concerned about Dissly on some of the long road trips this season.
