A couple years ago, when I first decided that being an MSU booster sounded like a cool thing to do, I remember having to do a bit of research to figure out exactly what that meant and how to go about contacting someone to sign up.
For those of you who are not currently boosters, or perhaps just recently became boosters, do you think the information is out there and that the awareness of the opportunities to donate to the MSU ASA are commonly known by MSU alums/friends?
I only ask this as I am wondering if it is better now than it used to be several years ago, and also whether there is a large segment of the MSU alum population that is simply unaware of the opportunities to contribute to the ASA. Knowing that things are often much easier to see and assess regarding items like this from the outside as opposed to inside an organization, perhaps this is another area where the opinions of those "out in the field" could provide some constructive insights to the people working hard within the MSU athletic department to continue to improve the experience for both the student-athletes as well as all of us.

My first ASA membership was in 1984 to the Heisel era. I dropped membership during the Heisel era then rejoined during the current Kramer era. Not much has changed during that 20 year period. Its nice to get some of the perks, ie parking and listen to Kramer and other coaches when they come to Billings for a luncheon or function. Patty Kicker did a good job while she was at the rein, she would often call on boosters. Print information is ok.
Peter Fields was here in the spring and I suggested to him that an additional line on the ASA membership form for an additional donation might raise some money. We will see this spring if my suggestion was worthy or not.
The local Billings chapter could do more IMHO, to keep local mebers involved and increase membership. Again, all of these items are like the thread on increasing the game day experience we need willing Boosters, Fans and some money. The Bobcat Nation is a good starting place.
