There is an artice on Jenny Heringer in today's gazette, and she says she has verballed MSU. She may be the best player in the state. I saw her play twice last year against West High and she held her own against Conway & Morales. A good get, if she signs.

It's amazing the players we can attract when they know that they won't have to play under Potera. Great job coaches....let's hope we can seal the deal.

Some, in Billings have compared Jennifer with Shannon Cate whom played for UM. I have seen them both play and I think Jennifer has a potential Cate in her. Jennifer is not surrounded by the talent that Cate had in her career. This talent helped Cate to look better on the court.

I know we will here a lot about Jennofer in her career at MSU. She will be a star. She is a great catch for MSU, plus she is a very good student.

MC: Jenny is a very good player...she played with my daughter in Arizona on the Montana BCI team. "little info" felt she was as good or better than Mandy Morales.

It is a wonderful "get" and the type of player we have not got out of Montana in years! What I mean is that we have battled UM and to some degree other D-1 teams very well for the "good" womens players in Montana, but the "great" players have simply made a b-line for Missoula. Burrows would be the last high quality player we landed that Selvig really wanted, and we definately had a few avantages over Selvig. Now the thing I want to see is MSU land all of the Bozeman High players in the future. Missoula is a lock for Selvig, with Hiede Hanks (Harris) being the last Missoula player (over 15 years ago) not to sign with UM out of highschool. Bozeman is turning out some great players and MSU needs to keep them home!

The players Bozeman High turns out are amazing. MSU has lost a bunch, but Burrows, Scotta Morgan and Amanda DeHaan are all fine players. If one team got all of the D1 Hawks, they'd have quite a team (Lalum, Close, etc.). The friz have already recruited one from this year's team.

Heringer sounds big time. I sure hope "coach K" can pick up somebody tall as well.

Buckless looks like a big time player for the future.

Missoula used to be a consistant hot bed for womens basketball recruiting, but it is no where near where it used to . Billing has been good for the last three years or so. Greatfalls, and Helena ussually has a one every other year or so, but Bozeman has been putting out star after star and it is not that uncommon to have more than one player from BHS sign in any given year. With this much talent coming from Bozeman (and credit the BHS coaches) MSU have Montana's best hotbed of Girls basketball less than a mile away from their gym.

Amanda DeHaan is a Manhattan Christian graduate. They've turned out a couple of decent players over the years-including Bozeman High's coach.

The girl signed from Livingston is supposed to be pretty tall-I've heard 6'2" to 6'4". If you use the Mick Durham method of measuring height she might be 6'6"!

Oops. Local girl anyway. Brooke Svendsen and her sister Blythe Hommes were the others. Blythe was conference MVP one year, I believe.

Goodman plays a lot bigger than her listed height of 5-11, as does Fields. Still, to really contend, we need some 6-2 to 6-4 players with some talent.

How is her foot speed? Seems that this the big issue for the taller players?
