Bass gave the Griz big problems when he was a true frosh. I've heard that the Glenn staff passed on him due to his size. Though who's to say he ever would have become a Griz if offered.

If he doesn't work out on offense, he seems to be the right size for a Cat DB!

What ever happened to Bass? He was on the Cats' recruit list for a long time, but has now been dropped.

Interesting...I noticed a Jonathan Macciola OL/TE from De Anza College listed for Idaho State...MSU has Jason Macciola DE from the same school. Twin brothers committing to two different Big Sky schools?

Dont know if they are twins, but yes, they are brothers. Will be fun to see that TE/DE matchup next year.

I hear Bass may still be in the picture hear, but he needs to get some things in order before he can transfer.

But, if you get Cole won't you have a problem if Bass also shows up?

I think Kramer said MSU still has room for 5-6 more, so take that for what it's worth. Also Bass just has one year, while Cole has three(?). But, yes, it would be crowded with Milton, Bass, Dom, Cole, among others, if that's the kind of problem you're talking about.

I don't know if it is Bass or not, but the word from the "inside" is that there will be a 1A transfer RB on the roster within two weeks.
Also discussed was the reason that they haven't signed a QB in two years. Apparently the coaches are comfortable with the capabilities of both Coppack and Carpenter. Another reason is that next year's QB class of recruits looks better than this year's did (I'm drastically paraphrasing, but that is the general gist).
Saw some good things on film, and must say that I'm really excited to see Derek Green play for the 'Cats. That kid could be a legend by the time he's done in Bozeman.
Other tidbits:
Biggest area of concern is stengthening our DLine.
When imagining what Tremaine Murry might bring to the table this fall, think: Junior Adams.
Gatewood will sit out the spring due to some maintenance surgery on his shoulder. Shouldn't be a problem come fall, and will give our youngsters some extra reps in the spring.
Arizona would only release Kolone to MSU due to fear that he would end up at another Pac-10. He was initially recruited by USC, UCLA, Fres St. etc. coming out of high school. This kid could be a great one.
The in state kids we did sign have no love for Boobsie or that other school down the road, just as it should be.
The other thing that stands out about this group of guys is that they all seem to fit into not only the style of football MSU plays, but also the style of environment that MSU is set in. Hopefully the majority of these guys will be around for a full and bountyful career of Bobcat Football.
Oh yeah, the entire FB team is going to be at the BBall game tonight per Coach K's orders, so if any of you are going to be at the Brick, give our pigskin boys a knuckle-bump for me while you're cheering on our roundball guys. I'll be watching on Altitude.

Very Cool. Thanks for the update Gavin... But I thought Coppack was moved to a different position?

Derek Green 6'3" 175lbs WR out of Billings West High School.
Correction Billings Senior.
How dare you confuse a Billings Senior student with those of us who were good enough to go to West High!
