Here are the top 1-aa draft prospects. The cats of Cooper & Molock and the friz have way to many but good luck any way.

I'm surprised Rodamer isn't higher on the list. His career at Montana was stellar.

Don't forget Dusty Daws! I bet he makes it for sure on a team this year. #1 ranked long snapper.

I agree, but seriously doubt he is drafted. How many long snappers are taken in even the 7th round unless they can play other positions? Look for Dusty to get picked up as a free agent right after the draft.

Yeah, very doubtfull he will get drafted. But should make it onto a team I would think this year. That type of position I think would be a lot easier to adjust to the NFL as its the same type of thing over and over. The only thing that might be different is the size of the guys in front of him trying to block the kick. Most lines usually mash the middle in so you don't really have to be HUGE to long snap. David Binn of the Chargers is like 235 or so and he's been in the leage a LONG TIME. I really think Daws is going to be a permanent fixture on some NFL team I bet in the future.

Just a conversation piece. But I am really wondering why Craig Ochs shows a "falling" next to his name? Do you think the concussions in Colorado as well as his Junior year at Montana is causing second looks? Overall, the state of Montana looks pretty good with the representations from both Universities.

Durability is the only thing I could see that would affect Ochs status. His toughness on the other hand is unquestionable. You cant tell me that Craig wouldnt do as well as some of the QBs in the league right now like Krenzel for the Bears, or Garcia for Cleveland, Plummer for Denver or whoever the 49ers QB is.

I hope he gets a shot, I think he can make it. He might not have the strongest arm, but one thing for sure, he wont make stupid mistakes on the field. And I'd take the smart QB over the strong one everyday!

Do we currently have a long snapper penciled in? I don't think that anyone other than dusty has done that for at least the last 3 years.

Long snappers are a bit like kickers, in the sense that it takes a certain type of player, and they are extremely useful in certain situations. A lot of teams will give up a roster spot for a good long snapper.

Eddie was the long snapper when the cats went to Weber State a year ago (not last season but the year before). Dusty had been in a fight and was left home.

I counted 7 Montana boys on the list (may have missed some). Does anyone know how many of them are Montana natives?

I doubt anyone from MSU or U of M gets drafted this year. Cooper could be a late round pick. Everyone else looks to be a free agent signee. Not that a couple of those free agents won't make a team.

Heeidelberger WR - Calif
Segars WR - Colorado
Rodamer WR - NOT LISTED BY Montana on their roster
Procter OL - Washington

I think the Bostic kid out of Missoula was recruited a lot because of his long snapping. That's what his mother told me.
