So how many people are going to the game on sunday.

Also how many poeple does "THE BRICK" hold.

I know like in the 1987 game they said they had like 8400 people for that one (Ferch/Domako/Willis etc.). However with the new remodeling/construction I'm not sure if we lost seats or gained them. I think we get 7,000+ for this game though.

The web states that the "brick" hold 8,900 people. I'm not sure if that number is for concerts or bball (my guess is concerts). I will guess that we get 6,698 people at the game.

I see 7,250 most often listed as the capacity of Worthington Arena after the remodel.

What's the biggest crowd ever in Worthington? I heard maybe 11,000 for a basketball game way back when some big name was in town (Elgin Baylor?)

Cat-griz ball games routinely drew 8K plus in Bozeman and 9K plus in Missoula in the 70's and 80's. Times have changed a bit.

I heard they are nearly sold out as of Thursday.

I was a little kid and went to the Seattle U. (Elgin Baylor) game..the first in the new MSC Fieldhouse. To this day I recall how astounded I and everyone else was by the immensity of the place. The Butte Civic Center was until then the biggest indoor facility around. I remember thinking, "you can get 3 Civic Centers in here." Listed capacity for basketball then was 9,600. Back then they turned the lights off when the game started, except over the playing floor. That only served to make the crowd seem that much larger.

I remember going to my first games there in the early 70's. The place had a lot of character I guess with the raised floor. I remember the wooden walkways over the dirt floor, the players coming back from the locker room wiping their feet on big mats before they stepped onto the floor. The endzone bleaches were about the same quality as our endzone football bleachers-see thru and scarey. I doubt the place had changed much at all from the 50's to the late 70's when the tartan floor was put in.

Some parts of the fieldhouse are completely unchanged, but most of it has changed quite a bit.
