So I heard that MONTE (mascot of the year) was kicked out of the game on saturday, and fields told him he was not ever welcome in our building again.

The story goes, He was shaking his butt at A little girl when she was trying to shoot free-throws at the girls game. Fields told him to get off the court.

He then went up to the boosters section and was getting in there way. They told him to move and he started taunting them as well. One of the Boosters was trying to move him out of the way when Fields came over and Asked MONTE (mascot of the year) to get out and never come back.

That is why he was not at the Mens game

I wasn't aware of this; when did he get thrown out? I mean, how much time was left?

It's about damn time. Keep that flea-ridden piece of crap out of Bozeman. Way to go, Peter! :D :D :D

I guess that means Fields won't be voting for Monte then?

I thought his absense at the mens game was conspicuous

Legally this gets a little murky. Did Monte the costume get banned? or the idiot inside..or both? If they get a new idiot to stuff into the costume, or get a new costume, will the ban be lifted? Interesting choices.
Guess that's why Dr. Fields gets the big bucks!!

Does this mean that Champ won't be welcome in Missoula?

Is Peter Fields the same guy who banned your cheerleaders?

Good. That would be one less thing the Griz could rag on us about. Anyway Champ could get banned from Bozeman?

My kids really enjoy Champ, for what it's worth. I know he doesn't do much for the "grownups."

I think your kids are in the minority. My kid is too young to realize, but he scares the crap out of my brothers and cousins kids.

Now when I was in Bozeman (think of Grandpa Simpson), we had a real live Bobcat. He/she was in a special cage located I guess east of Hamilton Hall. Anyway, the Bobcat was poisoned. So we got another one...poisoned again. No more live Bobcats. Is there still a taxidermied Bobcat in a suspended glass globe snarling down at passing fans in the entry area of the fieldhouse?

Yeah, last year when my boy was four, he was scared of Champ (and just about anybody in a crowd) too.

WOW Raincat, the live Bobcat brought back some old memories. Yes the late 60's. Wish I could go back.

Sorry i don't know much about Champ, why is he so scary? is it his costume or is just the fact that kids don't who he is.
