ALL BIG SKY TEAM

Post by Kadeezy » Mon Feb 21, 2005 6:46 pm

Here's My All Big Sky Team:

PG: Will Funn 7.4ppg and 7.8 apg (get's edge of Dashawn Freeman because of leading nation in assists at times and is a Senior)

SG: Jason Harris 21.1ppg 4.3rpg (Newcomer of the year and dominant scorer)

SF: Jameel Pugh 17.2ppg 5.5rpg (Most athletic player in the Big Sky, shooting nearly 50% from three in Big Sky play)

PF: Seamus Boxley 20.4ppg 8rpg (Big man with finesse who has had a great Senior year)

C: Lance Allred 17.8ppg 11.8rpg (Great person, even better player, battling Bogut(UTAH) for #1 in the nation in Rebounding)

  Why two players from SAC and PSU? We could add Blake Walker from PSU. Or see what Montana State, Montana and NAU do against this group on Thurs the 24th and Sat the 26th. Lets test these four players on the road where we can get a good look at them and see if they pass the test out of their 1400 seat boxes. We may have a different opinion a week from today. I agree Lance Allred is a nice guy and his stats put him on the team but I would rather play the Lance bunch anyday if I need a win.

I think that there's actually 6 guys who make it. If I remember right, the conf MVP isn't on the official 1st team list. So assuming Boxley is named MVP, I would put either Axton, Moss or Davis in his spot.

  Nice honor and nice team. That is an interesting way to do it. Just put everybody on the team and it leaves little room for controversy. I am glad I did not have to be the one to cut the team to six but it would have lead to a little more discussion. If you have a favorite that did not make this team just wait until they name the all tournament team.

I dont like that team at all! Grow a set Fullerton and pick 5 players for 1st team and 5 for 2nd team. If you upset somebody....too bad. These post season awards are meaningless in my eyes.

Same thing for football...Lulay, Ochs AND Meyer are all 1st team QB? In fact, the starting QB, RB and the #1 WR for each Big Sky team made at least honorable mention. And that is just for the skill positions.

Just so long as nobody is offended. These post season awards are kinda like tee ball.....everybody bats, everybody fields, everybody wins!

I took a line drive to the face playing 3rd base in tee ball. Needless to say, I stayed away from baseball for awhile.
