Friz win by 10 58-48

I hate playing teams 3 times in one season. Nothing usually comes out good in these games. Shall be interesting though on a neutral court.

That was the Griz' 3rd win over EWU...I don't buy into the whole "tough to beat a team 3 times in one year" thing. If MSU loses it'll be because UM is a good team, not because of the results of the previous games. Go Cats, and please throw it in to Marvin and Al once in a while!

Weber out to a 16-2 lead at Sacramento in the other game.

  Very Strange Game basketball. The Game on the 8th is shaping up as the battle to see who can attempt the least threes.

If it's a game to see who can take the least 3's, I don't like MSU's chances at all!

Does anyone know if this game will be on TV?

While I will be cheering for the Griz to win, I would expect a cat victory here. We are playing well, but there seem to be times where the Griz cannot keep it together and play as a team on the floor.

One of the more recent collapses was in MSU where the whole team seemed to just have a mental breakdown.

If the Griz can get over that, then it could be a fun game, if not, I would expect more of the same this year.

  The second game was a reaction to the first. The third game will be a reaction to the second. Do not spend a lot of time thinking about those two TV games unless you are using them to expect the opposite. Example Durham 0-4 from three first game 6-10 second game. Jefferson 25 points first game 0-2 from three second game. Expect some adjustments to Montana 4-24 16% from three in 2nd game and MSU 12-31 in 2nd game. 39% Not in percentage but in number of shots taken from three and who is shooting them. ????

BozoneCat: Argumentum ad hominem!

The idea of a third game scares me. Convince me with something more logical than name calling that the Cats can take the Griz for a third time (on neutral court).

Well, for starters because we have proven that we are a better team by beating them twice already. The grizzly guards will do nothing against us, and good guard play = postseason wins. Criswell hasn't done anything against the Cats in 2 years, and Martin is a punk who will lose his cool with the added pressure of the game. Durham won't play anything like he did in Bozeman, but it won't matter because Miller and Jefferson are heads and tails better than their frizzly counterparts.

  I am convinced but it would appear that Criswell is due and Martin I do not think is really a punk and if he is not it could be a lot of fun. But I always say do it and then talk about it. No I say Moderation in all things except defense.

I think the friz will take us in this one. Mick has the "can't win three" in the back of his mind...I just hope it isn't in the back of the player's minds. (this is the law of "opposite thinking" (see Bizzaro World) as practiced by George Costanza)

  Here is the Morning Line at Portland Meadows Horse Race track today.

Scoring Cats 67 Griz 69

Field Goal % Cats .440 Griz .456
3 point fg % Cats .330 Griz .353

Might be a game worth watching.

Alright all of you nay sayers. Cats win tonight. M. Durham, C. Durham and Jefferson have got into the heads of the Griz guards all season. The Refs recently have been calling Davis for Offencive fouls for his plowing into the Key moves. Dissly has turned a corner, Miller will be big, Jefferson and Moss will be solid as ever. Cats win take on Portland Saturday take it to the bank!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I don't know 'mslacat', I usually tend to agree with you, but the Griz have been on a helluva roll lately. I guess they do say that all good things eventually come to an end. SO I guess WHEN is the question.

"Our goal ... was to play Portland State again," said Durham, whose team fell 88-82 to the Vikings in overtime on Feb. 24 in Bozeman. "We want to have another shot at 'em, and it so happens that Montana is standing in our way."

"We can't lose sight of the fact we weren't picked to be here," Durham said. "We need to be loose, we need to go have some fun and play. That's when we play our best."

Mick said that? =D^
