(whisper) You might want to check your facts about our football team's GPA - not anything to brag about.SteelheadBum wrote:Just getting some Pro Scouts to the MSU Campus means the BOBCAT program countinues to improve. Bigger, Stronger, Faster & the Highest GPA!!!! GO CATS!!! Ask any NFL player if GPA doesn't matter for 95% of all players. Oh, ask 95% of NFL players if a college degree isn't helpful AFTER football.

BZ, you just proved my case. Now explain to us again why you are a griz grad student. Overall GPA compared to your peer group!?!?! Naaahhh!!
So even a griz grad like you can catch the point of discussion: OUR BOBCAT FOOTBALL TEAM'S GPA SUCKS!!!!! Coach K, tell me you know GPA matters!! Bobcat Football Players, besides telling me I owe you a living and that you're the coolest Cats on Campus, please hit the books. Thank you.

I would like to see the football team do better in school.
Hysell was way tougher on the team to get good grades. I guess there is a fine line between a "student-athlete" vs an "athlete".
I think when winning is the bottom line. sometimes their is a little trade off in the academics arena.
Not to mention, MSU isn't exactly an easy school. There is no soft majors to stick prop48 players. UM doesn't seem to have that problem. They even have a "winter session" to keep 'em eligible.
