Good god, it looks like Weber is going to pull the upset. Wildcats are up by 7 with about 6:00 left to play, have been ahead the entire game so far.

Why is it that the griz always get their way paved by other teams pulling big upsets? Just to add a little lemon juice to the open wound. :(

Well, well. Vikes sound like they are ready to make a little run, are gaining momentum started on the defensive side of the ball.

PSHS down by 5

3:35 to go

Gotta love March Madness

MSU feels bad, but think how PSU feels right about now. Go Weber?

Looks a lot like their run through the playoffs this fall. The right upsets happened and they got to play every game in Missoula. Sometimes I think the gods wear silver and maroon.

Seyfert be able to handle Allred? Didn't two of Weber's kids just return this week? Anyway, since I don't have a dog in this fight and I'd kind of like to see somebody the U.S. recognizes in the tourney represent the conference based of their two first round wins coupled with Cravens reputation, gotta hope Weber gets there (first year coach already won 17 games, he's going to build a reputation built on the ugly ball style in a couple of years and be off to the Big East and the big bucks). At least this will be on t.v. so the whole country gets a look at Big Sky officials

I'll tell you why, the Griz get themselves into positions to allow this to happen, by winning. I know it sounds like a novel concept, but if you don't win when it counts then you can't get helped out much.

So I assume we can look forward to a big empty arena showcasing BSC basketball on TV tonight? That's depressing. It's never good for our conference's prestige (granted, the W/L record isn't helping us much either) when the host loses out before the championship game.

Something tells me we wouldnt have seen much more people tonight if PSU was playing.

I was watching the Detroit / Green Bay championship game on ESPN last night, and they said there were like 10000 people in attendance. Those cannot be big schools! That place was electric, but boy was that bad and sloppy basketball. The final was like 59-58 or something. Exciting, but I was keeping an eye on it while listening to the Cat game, and I kept thinking - we could beat these chumps.

Anyway, I'm not really shocked that Weber beat PSU. Weber was kind of the team nobody really payed any attention to this year, but they are peaking at the right time just like the Griz.

I honestly don't see the Griz beating them, this is an unbiased opinion here but I think the game their freshman played was a fluke. Freshman tend to be extremely inconsistent, and they hadn't played that good maybe one or two times this year. Whoever wins, I will be rooting for them in the big dance. Like I said earlier, basketball tournaments are the one time I will root for the Griz, but only if they beat Weber. I'm definately pulling for Weber. :)

I am on your side there Jah. On the other hand, it seems like the stars align for the Griz an awful lot. Look at the football playoffs this year. They needed everyone on their side of the bracket to lose in order to host all those playoff games.

Still, I side with your argument.

I congratulate the Cats on a great season, never expected this much out of this team. BUT... coach Durham (Mack Brown) again, cant win the big one. End the season losing 4 of 5 (typical), had a chance to win conference title by beating PSU in Bozeman - lost in OT, had a chance to go to the tourney chipper - lost to a team they beat twice already this season. Despite the overachieving done by this team, how is this season different than 13 of Mick's 14 seasons?
