Doug & Holli Hashley

It really look like Holli Hashley will be one of the top women’s basketball recruits next
year. She lead the AA in scoring and rebounding this year and if she turns out to have 1/2
the competitiveness of her father, former Bobcat great Doug Hashley will be something
special. The question I have for all of you Bobcat alumni is how connected is Doug to
the athletic program. I have never seen him around any functions or have I heard his
name mentioned like I have some other former Bobcat Greats who are from Montana.
About a Month and half ago I escorted my lovely wife to a Lady Griz game and I by
chance got to sit down next to Doug. All during the game he was taking notes, and
diagramming what the Lady Griz were doing. It was really curious because if I did not
know better I would have thought he was a college coach scouting the Griz. It also made
me think he was scouting the Griz not as a college coach but as a father deciding where
his daughter should go to school next year!

Rarely do we see something like Mick's family where Casey makes the fourth generation to play for the same school; the brother-sister act from Billings West probably will make for some interesting family discussions around the Conway dinner tables or the Edwards family with Uncle Wayne, Johnny, and the Lady Griz. Really think the Hashley's have a lot of fond memories of their time in Bozo?
