I got to sit in on the Jaime White meet the booster event yesterday afternoon, and I was pretty happy with what I saw. The people in attendance asked some pretty pointed question, even I got a few in, and she did well. I think she is a pretty high-energy coach, not in a Potera mold, more of a very young Kramer way. The women's Basketball team was there and I got a pretty good vibe from them about her, they seem to really like her. I kind-of thought of here as your typical Young Turk coach. Lots of energy, great recruiting experience, has been successful as a head coach (JC ranks) and recruiting coordinator. Without actually committing to anything she seemed to indicate that if she took the job she would be looking for a quick fix to stabiles the program the first couple of years and then take a more long term approach to recruiting. She also seemed to say she felt she needed to make a five-year commitment to MSU and then see what her options are (my words). Her weakness was that she was nervous in from of the boosters who came, and was not as polished as she could be, but with her energy and her frank way of talking you could certainly see her out barn storming the state with Kramer.
She talked about running offences that fit the team she may have but is a Motion offence and man-to-man defense kind of coach. She learned a lot from Rick Majerous (sp?) while at Utah
All in all I would not be up set at all if she was hired, BUT she was and will be the only candidate I will get to see.
Anybody else go? Opinions?

I am really pulling for Jaime White to be the next women's basketball coach at MSU. While I have my personal reasons I have only heard good things about her. There is no doubt that Montana has some great girls basketball talent (look at the Big Sky), and I think she has a chance to chip into some of that talent UofM has been banking on in the past. I may be a little biased (No I am not related to Jaime, nor do I know her), but she is definitely my pick for the position of head girls coach.
