Scrimmage Notes

Thought the scrimmage went fairly well, besides Hunter going down. Elaboration anyone? (I'll ad thoughts later)

EDIT:

Ok, Ill ad some thoughts now. Very windy day. JD had a good scrim, w/ a 40-50 yd TD run. Chaz Guinn also had a good scrim w/ 3-4 catches and a long touch. Lulay was Lulay, who else. Defense gave up a long bomb to Guinn (I think) down to the 20, then held their ground, forcing a FG (made). Papich hassled the OL all scrim and got 2 sacks. Saw a variety of looks on D. Hunter went out before half w/ a knee injury (details anyone?). Running backs look GOOD. Gathing ran hard, as did Groves. Groves reminds me of an emmitt smith type (small, quick). Kinkelaar impressed me on D, was in on a lot of plays. Was a small tugging match between Fuller and Murray that both players were pretty peeved about. Fuller claimed a facemask. Force made some good plays.

Post dammit!! :P

Knee injury...he was able to walk off the field himself, but it didn't look too good.

Talked with my son after the scrim. Hunter most likely has a torn ACL.

Hunter went down again? I hope this time he won't be out the entire year.

More Knee injuries! I talked with the strength coach this week and he cannot figure this out. Everyone wants to blame it on dumb luck and that may very well be the case. However, I look at the NFL (particularly the Vikings since I follow them closely) and see more size, more speed, more aggression, more artificial turf, more games and more cold weather games for teams like the Vikings and I see one ACL every other year and one MCl every other year and I wonder why the differnece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's another dude's opinion:

Right now I'm pretty high on our running backs. Espectially Groves. I think this kid could be the Barry Sanders of the BSC. I don't think he'll get tackled for a loss much. Seems like he's always able to juke his way for a couple yards at least. After watching him in two scrimmages I think he should see the field quite a bit this year. I think our running game will be much improved with three quality backs.

Anybody know how long hunter will be out with his MCL?
