.....Football

I heard a while back that the Mens basketball team thought they had found a hidden gem this summer. A kid who played behind a lot of talent last year but was primed to have a great senior year this summer. The idea was to offer him early and try to get a commitment from him before he became well known. Well the best laid plans are of Mice and Men it turns out while he is just getting know for basketball, he is very well known as a football reciever. Sort of a Dissly situation. Maybe Kramer should get involved.

Two-Sporter Bryant Williams Gets Big Ten Interest Premium Story

Bryant Williams, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver, from Edina (MN) High, is one of the state's top two-sport athletes. Williams will play for the Hornets this season after transferring from Minneapolis (MN) North High. He has attracted interest as a member of the Howard Pulley Panthers AAU basketball team. However, his strong performance at a Big Ten team's football camp could attract a scholarship offer in the near future.

Bryant Williams helped lead the Polars to a 5-4 mark as a junior. He caught 29 passes for 576 yards with five scores and also served as the team's kicker and punter.

Williams decided to transfer to Edina, which is known for its strong academics and passing attack. The Hornets are expected to quarterbacked by Nate Tice, the son of Minnesota Viking head coach Mike Tice. Williams played with the Hornets' football team during the recent Gopher passing camp. Edina was 3-6 last season.

Williams also played basketball for North and helped lead them to a 22-4 mark and the Class AAAA, Section 5 finals before losing to Mounds View. He averaged 10.3 points per game. Williams was expected to be a key contributor for the Polars, who lost just one of their top eight scorers to graduation.

Edina was a disapointing 12-15 under first-year head coach Pat Dorsey.

Williams played for the Howard Pulley AAU team at the Boo Williams Invitational, Kingwood Classic and Sabes Invitational. His solid play earned him a scholarship offer from Western Illinois and Montanan State.

However, Williams decided to skip the Nike Peach Jam to attend the Michigan State football camp. He shined at the camp and could receive a scholarship offer. Williams has yet to take the ACT or SAT. He is also receiving football interest from Central Florida, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Iowa State and Minnesota.

Scott Harry... 1st team all conference TE and 1st team all conference PF. Possibly, possibly, if I remember correctly, Scott is the only player to make 1st all conference in both sports the same year in Big Sky Conference history.

Scott Harry- one of the best hustle guys you have ever seen. He was fun to watch. He would get done with football practice and bumps and bruises all over and then go to basketball and sacrifice himself for every loose ball-

SUCKITGRIZ:

I was drinking at the R Bar one night and three of my friends and I started the "Bill Braski" quotes. I think we were the only ones there that had a clue what was going on. Thanks for reminding me

"Bill Braski is a son-of-a-bitch"

Love it! I will keep bringing them as long as someone else enjoys them...here's one:
"Bill Brasky was a 10 foot monster who slept with all our wives! And punched us all in the face! And we loved him for it!" There is more where that came from.

I have started a Bill thread on the Hangout section. It probably belongs over there not on the sports page.
