I see that the Fieldhouse roof is finally done. Are their any other athletic facility improvements underway or planned for this year? What about the rest of campus? I here a new Chemistry building will be underway this fall.

Not sure exactly when, but I am guessing the renovations for the SUB and the health center will be starting soon.
I read in the Chronicle a couple days ago that plans are being finalized for a parking garage to be put in off of 9th Street (probably by Hapner/Langford) to help serve all the dorms in the area along with the new Chemistry Building. This is definitely much-needed, but I think putting in a garage across from the SUB would be a better choice.
Look for a capital campaign to get going soon for athletics facilities...

The sub is going to get under way in the summer of 2006 or 2007. It isn't going for bid untill this fall.

I have heard or read about each of these projects and it is great to see MSU going forward. I was wondering what any of you have heard about the when the final phase of the football stadium is to be completed and what it might all include. The only things I have heard are obviously they are waiting for the debt to get paid before they can proceed and the stadium will be enclosed in a U shape.

Tentatively improvements to the stadium will begin in 2 years. The athletic administration would like to bowl in the end and put new seating and additional sky boxes on the east end. That may mean a new larger score board with actual replays of the game to go along with the commercials.

It looks like a giant ice cream cone! They should have put a gold colored cover over it.

I am a believer that part of the recruiting incentive is tied to a great facility so when the final phase is completed that should help some... but bottom line is still the level of the program, coaching staff, and academic enviornment. Question... why hasn't Montana State been able to attract larger corporate sponsorship to helf finance the completion of the stadium?
And I still like that "big ice cream cone"... still a great facility!
