SFA

This game is going to be a extremely tough test for our players, and I think the toughest test will be our mentality. SFA has the tools to score, and I'm afraid that a lot of us are looking past them. We came close to beating a IA school, and they came close to losing to a DII school, and I think that has a lot of us thinking this game is going to be a walk in the park. But they have an excellent receiver with Chance Dennis, and if he gets the protection he needs, Zeke Dixon can pick apart good defenses. Dixon is a senior with 4 years under his belt. From what I gather, he is not as mobile as Woods, Reid, or even Lulay.
That being said, I like our chances in this game, but this team is not to be underestimated. They are picked to finish middle of the pack in a tough Southland conference, but many believe they could be a sleeper this year.
I look for us to put as much pressure as we can on Dixon, therefore making them throw short passes. With Force in the back, and the talent we have at CB, I don't look for us to get beat deep this year. They have a big OL, but I think they are in for a surprise with how physical our D is going to be this year. We have a talented DL at the starting spots, and our LB corp flies around the field and hits hard.
We are a very aggressive defense, but sometimes this can lead to big plays against us.
We need to not overlook this team, or any team this year. If we come out fired up and wanting to vindicate ourselves for last week, this team should be able to win with ease. If we come out still feeling good about the OSU game, and not quite back in reality, we could wind up on the losing end of a shootout. If we truely are a different team than previous years, mentally, we should come out running on all cylanders and put this game out of reach early!
