Attendance - temporary bleachers?

With the opening day sell-out, I'm assuming the numbers could only grow stronger if the Cats continue to impress this season. Do you suppose the temporary bleachers and standing room tickets will be brought in to boost the capacity of the stadium for games this season? We've done it for Cat/Griz in the past, but I could see needing it for other games this season, particularly Homecoming.

That is a good question. Given the weather yesterday, the attendance was even a bit more impressive.
A lot depends on this next game against Cal Poly. If we win that game, I suspect we could have a huge crowd in Bozeman in two weeks. NDSU will be bringing many of their fans, so why not bring in more bleachers?? Then Homecoming is the next weekend, so just leave thjem up!

It certainly didn't look like a seel-out to me. Plenty of open seats.

You have to realize that a sell-out counts every season ticket sold. If those people who bought season tickets didn't show up yesterday, they were still counted in the attendence figure. Therefore, many of the Grizzly fans who bought season tickets were counted. Hopefully those people will donate their tickets to a local charity so that the seats will be filled.

My Kwanis club has portable bleachers and the state inspector condemn them. The main reason was the bleachers could not anchored to the ground and could tip over. I do not see MSU bring in more bleachers because they will not pass inspection.
I am shocked that the end zone bleachers are still in use after learning about some of the new codes on bleachers.

I'm still not convinced that many Griz fans bought season tickets, except those that plan to use them. If anyone knows of people who actually did buy MSU season tickets in order to only use them for Cat/Griz, please let me know so I can stand corrected.

I know 4-5 people at my work that are Griz fans and were either up at the game this weekend or gave there tickets to me to give to some other people that might want to come up. So the tickets were being used. But there are definately Griz fans that bought tickets just to get a Cat/Griz ticket that is for sure. The Griz fans I know love going up to the Cats games as well (what pure football fanatic wouldn't?). So it works out well for MSU/ME/all of us in the long run as long as the tickets get used.
