BOBCATS RALLY FOR BIG WIN

With its season coming down to one long drive; Montana State put together a 15-play, 92-yard gem to rally past North Dakota State for a 20-17 win.

Starting for the first time this year, all-star receiver Ricky Gatewood stepped up for the Bobcats, hauling in three of his nine receptions on the fateful drive. Meanwhile MSU quarterback, Travis Lulay used his scrambling ability to keep the drive going into the final minutes. Running back Justin Domenick made the final plunge from one-yard out to give Montana State the much-needed win.

Congratulations Montana State Bobcats, CollegeSportsReport.com I-AA Team of the Week.

VIKING MARAUDER

Most teams, let alone running backs only dream of rushing for 300 yards in a game, but for Portland State’s Joe Rubin, that dream became a reality. Rubin was the epitome of workhorse for the Vikings in a 41-17 win over Northern Colorado, as he rushed for 356 yards on 47 carries.

However, when Rubin wasn’t busy piling up the yardage, he was piling up points. In all, he scored five times for the Vikings on runs of 9, 32, 8, 2 and 1 yard respectively.

Congratulations Joe Rubin of Portland State, College Sports Report I-AA Performer of the Week.

Gotta love what Walsh is doing in Portland. Give a kid 47 carries in the Big Sky  Sounds like the Old Time Cats--even though I'm trying my best to appreciate the spread this year  Still think we'd have a better chance with two tights and was really happy to see Domineck and Bass in the I
