Nice payday, but is a thumping worth it?

In years past in playing those division IA, we have held our own. I think its great exposure, plus they are making an attempt to bring down the deficit. Its a business move that had to happen.

Yes it is. Big games are fun for the fans and good for the pocketbooks. The Griz won't get any because they are too scared to play away from their home cookin stadium :) Colorado would be a fun game to play in future as well.

I agree. And not like we have a chance at beating a team like Okie State, but when the work OKLAHOMA came up, visions of the Florida game came flashing back to memory. Playing a team like that is definitly not needed - unless the payday is enormous.

Unless we are getting $400,000+ I dont want to see the Cats and their trainers go to Norman to get pounded by OU.

Nice spin Wildrat

1: You only wish the cats had the Griz sched. Playing all quality 1-aa teams.

2: Yes, the Griz can skip the 1-A trip becouse Wash -Griz generates money. Money you only wish the cats could generate, I think you know the term used when cats complain about all the money the Griz get playing at home.

3. Kramer doesn't want to play those games and you know it.

4. 1-A teams duck the Griz like the plague.

5. Griz play Colorado in 2005 or 2006.

6. Name one great 1-A program that doesn't play all non conferance games at home. (Texas and OU play in Dallas each year) (Michigan and USC do Home and Home with ND) Other than that look at the top 15 programs and they all play 7 home games. cats can't do it becouse the athletic dept can't cash flow. cats go begging for paydays from WSU and CSU. (something to be proud of I'm sure)

Rumor has it the Griz are playing CU next year. Just a rumor though. How come when the Cats do something for their pocketbook, it's a positive? But when the Griz do something (i.e. play a lot of games at home), they are scared? I would think a lot of 1-A schools don't even want to play the Griz in fear of being beaten (e.g. Idaho four years in a row). Not saying the Griz could beat OSU, but I would love to see that game.

Maybe it's not a rumor. Jag, you know something I don't know?

Just for the record, I think it's cool that the Cats will play OSU next year.

Sounds like Cat envy to me. There are a lot of Griz fans that want the Griz to play the Big Boys as well. You gotta play with the Big Dogs if you wanna be a BIG DOG :) And yes, the money is very nice! Good pickup game for the Cats!

Does Idaho even count as a 1-A school? :)

Hasn't helped the cats any. Nobody is mistaking WSU, CSU, & OSU with Washington, Colorado and Oklahoma......state always seems to be the little brother.

Good Point. The game I'd like to see is Wyoming. Do they count?

You sure are right there. Washington has been replaced by Washington State as the powerhouse in that state and CSU has pretty much replaced Colorado as the power in Colorado. So your right ... THE STATE's are taking over ... there is definately a shift of power happening in Colorado/Washington and Montana.

OSU/OU

By the way, the OSU Cowboys won 2 of last 3 against the Sooners. Sooners upset the Cowboys last season, though.

When the Cats played WSU, Jason Gesser was a Heismann candidate and the Cougs were ranked in the top 10.

You guys can convince yourselfs of anything. Wildrat CSU is the spoiled rich boy country club in Colorado and plays in the MWC.

My only point is I hate body bag games. "Yeah, we get to play Texas and lose." "Hey, we kept it close." "True they played the 3rd string the entire half but we kept it close." No joy in that for me.. sorry. If you come out of CSU and lose to Cal Poly cats won't like body bag games either.

What is wrong about this statement? A Griz fan saying that? WOW :)

Nobody in Montana makes enough money to make either school the rich country club. Bozo as a town is starting to get that way. All new Student housing will be built in Three Forks and the kids can drive in.

You have a point there, I'm sure it will start being built in Belgrade/Three Forks here shortly. Bozeman has been discovered that is for sure. A true beautiful and fun town. I'm just giving you grief Jaeger :) I threw out my back this week and I am a little edgy :)

We play Cal Poly before CSU...the bad news may be that ISU at Pokey is after CSU!
