2024 Schedule

I thought I saw a thread on this earlier but can't find it. We were looking at this on the way to Bozeman, pretty crazy schedule. First game at New Mexico on August 24th, 12 game season, two byes.
Also, it looks like a pretty dang good schedule. Tougher teams are at home. Looking at who we return in 2024, we could possibly be 12-0 regular season.
Not that I'm looking ahead by any means, Cats aren't anywhere done this year.

Just pointing out - the future is bright.

I already made my hotel reservations for Gold Rush last September. Just trying to get a cheaper rate since it will be a night game.

We are going to make a 10-day trip out of the beginning of the schedule and go to the New Mexico and UT Tech games. The 2 byes are made possible because that New Mexico game is Week 0.

@ ISU, EWU, UC Davis and even PSU will not be easy road games. ISU is better and plays well at home. EWU always tough at home. PSU was young and played us pretty well. UC Davis is ? Good this year with RB not good without. We don't lose many starters on either side, fill with youngsters and a few key transfers.
I like no back to back road trips in conference. Can see them giving us a late espn game at UC Davis.

I know the Big Sky "reset" their scheduling rotation so it won't be an issue in the future, but goddamn I am sick of playing @ EWU almost every season

I'd bet on the Idaho game as the late night national TV game.

My thoughts as well. That game just screams "Big Sky After Dark". Same with Montana vs Weber State the week before

I've thought for a while that 2024 will be the best shot MSU has to finally earn home field throughout the playoffs and go all the way. This year's schedule was brutal and it's no surprise that MSU didn't get through all those road games unscathed. I have zero doubt that they can win anywhere on the road in the playoffs but it'll be a tougher road for sure.

As of now, my biggest worry is not having Chambers next year when Mellott goes down.

Jordan Reed has shown flashes when he comes in the game. And Chance Wilson will have a full year and a half of practice. I'm not too worried

We are also planning on going to New Mexico and Utah Tech. With a little time in Vegas in between. Never have been to New Mexico, looking forward to the road trip.

…and the same amount of time in the weight room.

It's interesting that the schedule as reflected on the MSU website does mot list a location for the game against Maine. All other home games have Bozeman as the location. Could this game be played in a neutral site possibly?

I dont totally disagree. Jordan is a much different QB than Sean is. I think the hype is there for both Jordan and Chance. But, you just dont replace a six/seven year guy and not see some drop off.

Pretty certain it's just an oversight by whoever did the schedule. If MSU were going to play a neutral site game they'd have announced it by now for fans who plan early for upcoming seasons.

Is the Utah Tech series a 1 and 1 (1 home game and 1 away game)? Could it be a 2 and 1?
Have they announced how much New Mexico is paying MSU?
