And he's on the radio call for the championship game. That'll ruffle some feathers.

Read an interview. He's been a Cats fan his whole life. I'm sure gris fans are ticked he's commentating the game.

Great story of redemption and overcoming adversity. We will take him.

When he signed with the Chargers, and 5000 season ticket holers, including me, were happy he claimed Washington state as his home state.

Back then, I’d probably feel the same way.

If you can look beyond his past, he’s really good behind the mic.

That’s a good looking hoodie. I’d like one myself.

I have a similar hoodie but it’s in black. I looked around online and didn’t see anything. Looks like it might be a team issue hoodie.

Agreed. I just meant it might irk some gris fans who could see him as a Bobcat fan doing the call for their game.

I knew him a little bit in high school and bumped into him a couple times in college...couldn't stand him. There was a part of me that was happy when things didn't work out for him. Then I spent a little time with him 5-6 years ago and he was a different person. He went through a lot of bad stuff and probably deserved all of it, but came out a pretty good guy on the other end. I'm happy for him, and I'm happy that he's been involved in MSU football a little bit.

Celebrity endorsements mean more than I wish they did. I wish they didn't matter, because they sure don't to me. But they matter to recruits, and they matter to people who want to be involved in a program that famous people are involved in (casual fans, potential donors from Big Sky). A shout out from Ryan Leaf is good. Getting Tony Dungy's kid (assuming he can play) is a good thing if he has a positive experience.

Why do Griz fans have so much hate for people that have some luck and then turn their lives around? Leafs story is pretty crazy and he has really done some amazing things as of late. I got to watch him play at CMR and once when he was at Wazzu, dude was legit. I guess it’s okay to murder a man in cold blood, go on the run and then blame self defense for your Aunt though. That’s so courageous!!

When exactly did he "turn his life around"? Must have been in the past three years as he was arrested for domestic battery in 2020...to add to his long rap sheet.

Thanks, but we can do without drug addled felons as fans of the program.
