After 25 years of fandom, I'm making my first trip to Bozeman to see the Hornets play your Cats on 11/9/24.
I've narrowed down the accommodations to two places and would love your input.
I can get a huge, king apartment suite at the C'mon Inn for two nights for $630. Or, a Premium King room at the Kimpton Armory hotel for $630. The armory looks like it's in the heart of downtown, and nice and modern. But the C'mon Inn looks pretty cool too with their setup, indoor pools and jacuzzies.
Traveling with the wife, what would y'all recommend?

I'd recommend being downtown...more restaurants and bars and things to see. C'Mon inn is great if you have little kids, but if you don't it's a zoo of activity.

Armory! Being downtown will be nice for before/after game festivities. The Armory has a rooftop bar and pool with great views of town. If you were traveling with kids, I'd say the C'mon inn.

Sounding unanimous. Any other tips for first time away team visitors? Looks like single game tickets go on sale 8/7/24.

I think it is 8/5! They will probably be gone by 8/7.

Without kids, stay at the Armory. Downtown Bozeman has plenty of Food and Drink options along 6 or so blocks of Main Street. Eating establishments will be packed, if you can't find a spot to eat order a Cheesesteak Sandwich from the Pickle Barrel. I would not recommend staying at the Lark.

It’s a no brainer…the Armory is the only option for you and wife!

Glad you can make it to Bozeman for that game @Kadeezy! I second the Armory, with its only downfall being the parking. There is no separate lot for just the hotel, and most of the parking is limited to pay and short-term. You can use the hotel's valet service, or park in the parking garage a couple blocks away, which is a pay-to-park garage.

I stayed at the Armory last year for one game. Very nice place in the heart of the city but beware of some of their surprise fees. The Armory charged me $35 to check out of each of my two rooms. Yes, $70 to CHECK OUT. I've never had that sort of a fee before.

I was going to ask what game you were coming for but the fog in my brain cleared up and I realized "duh."
Early November game be prepared for 1 foot of snow or 50 degrees. Could be windy, could be sunny, could be both.
I would check on visitor tickets available to Sac. I can't believe that they would use the whole visitor section for parents.
IF you do end up in visitor section around the 20 yard line be aware that time of year you will see a significant drop in temp from start of game to end. It will be cold on that side (the sun sets behind those sets and they are shaded by the press box).
If you don't get tickets on August 5. Wait it out there are always a ton of tickets available for November home games (at least the ones that don't include that other team in Montana).
Stay downtown. Explore downtown.

Luckily, no car... I'm assuming there will be plenty of ride-share options on a home game weekend?

It's about a 30 minute (downhill) walk from the stadium back to downtown, or there should be ride share options. Just be aware that they close down the streets immediately adjacent to the stadium on game days, so you'll need to walk a few blocks to get somewhere you could be picked up.

Still? I heard they've raised the prices significantly. I used to love Chico but they aren't the everyman's resort that they used to be.

Plus that’s a pretty tough commute with no car.

Call Sac State ticket office and get a couple of their allotted team tickets. Stay downtown and get a Uber to the game. I'm sure lots of people on here will invite you to their tailgate. I'm not sure what my boy Bruce Glennie's new tailgate number is or I'd give you ours. Enjoy your time here and make sure to check the weather forecast before you get on your flight.

Yeah, it’s not what it used to be. The pools are cooling. It’s over priced. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I mean we do have a frequent contributor and good poster on Bobcatnation that used to be involved in the management of the Cmon in. So I would say support that business.
Did you check Element? I'd pick that one. To be fair I haven't been in the Armory yet.
