Hello 1 seed

You sure look good.
My guess would be that NDSU still gets the #2 seed since they have 10 D-1 wins compared to 9 and 8 for SDSU and USD respectively. Then if the committee sticks with its original ranking SDSU should stay at #3, and Davis and USD would be 4 and 5 in some order. Would I be surprised if the committee puts Davis at 3 and drops SDSU to 4 in order to avoid NDSU and SDSU playing each other in the semifinals? No.BornBobcat2000 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:30 pmWhat happens with seeding now?? Dakota schools all took each other out, we’ll be lined up to play the 4 seed in the semi’s but who will that be?
SOS, I imagine it goes SDSU, USD, NDSU and we will get NDSU.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:28 pmThe committee now gets to deal with this to decide seeds 2 through 5:
NDSU, 10-2 (10 D-1 wins), MVFC co-champ, win over SDSU
SDSU, 10-2 (9 D-1 wins), MVFC co-champ, win over USD
USD, 9-2 (8 D-1 wins), MVFC co-champ, win over NDSU
UC Davis, 10-2 (10 D-1 wins), only FCS loss to #1 MSU
Good luck to the committee and GO CATS!!!
According to Massey, NDSU will be #1 in SoS after today's games are factored in. I don't see how they drop to #4 for that reason. I'd love to see the committee reward the teams that didn't play a D-II opponent.Monymony wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:38 pmSOS, I imagine it goes SDSU, USD, NDSU and we will get NDSU.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:28 pmThe committee now gets to deal with this to decide seeds 2 through 5:

My thoughts exactly on 1-5, but I do think Davis gets it. 1 ranked win and 8 DI wins shouldn't get you the 4 seed.
I would love it to look like this. Avoiding the Dakota schools as long as possible is preferableBleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:59 pmMy thoughts exactly on 1-5, but I do think Davis gets it. 1 ranked win and 8 DI wins shouldn't get you the 4 seed.
1. MSU
2. NDSU
3. SDSU
4.UC Davis
5. USD
6. Idaho
7. Mercer
8. Richmond
I think an undefeated CAA champ gets seeded over UIW.
I cannot believe that USD would drop to 5 after today.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:59 pmMy thoughts exactly on 1-5, but I do think Davis gets it. 1 ranked win and 8 DI wins shouldn't get you the 4 seed.

Fair but you definitely can’t put NDSU above USD and I don’t see why you would put SDSU below USD. Also SDSU getting the autobid should get two in my opinion. Heck even UCD might get into the mixMSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:46 pmAccording to Massey, NDSU will be #1 in SoS after today's games are factored in. It's impossible to seed NDSU, SDSU, and USD on head-to-head results when they all went 1-1 against each other. Something else will have to be factored in and D-1 wins and SoS give the edge to NDSU. I agree that UCD should absolutely be in the mix with those three in discussion for the #2 or #3 seed.Monymony wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:03 pmFair but you definitely can’t put NDSU above USD and I don’t see why you would put SDSU below USD. Why, their only FCS loss is to the #1. NDSU was gifted win by ETSU MVC gets credit for their teams below top 4 and not sure they deserve it more than middle of Big Sky.CalgaryCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:56 pmI have a feeling UC Davis is going to get screwed out of a deserved Top 4 seed, but I can’t really blame the committee for leaving them out. NDSU made it a mess by losing today
You can because it is a close loss on the road.Monymony wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:03 pmFair but you definitely can’t put NDSU above USD and I don’t see why you would put SDSU below USD.
