So when you say bad ones, are you thinking home team dominates?

Lehigh - Richmond will be a nice preview for how much better Richmond is going to be than the rest of the conference next year.

Yes in all three cases the home teams should dominate, but you never know.

Curious as to why the Gris should dominate. The team I watched in Bozeman on Saturday was overmatched on the offensive line and was slow on defense with the LBs and secondary. If they didn’t have Montana on their uniforms, could have just as well been Weber State on the field. What little I saw about TN State is they do have some speed on offense.

You think TSU/Griz will have that high of a spread? Given the game is in Missoula I'd only favor Tennessee State by 7.

Granted I haven’t watched much TN State but the gris in my eyes are pretty good. They definitely lack a high level offensive and defensive line but outside of that they are very good. Arguably the best wr/rb group in the country and Fife is a good FCS qb. Really their defense held the best offense in the FCS to not much outside of 3 big plays. Mix that with wagriz at night and colder weather. I don’t love TN States chances.

This is all based of off /r/FCS sportsbook which usually does a good job. They have gris at -15 and over/under 52.5. TN State doesn’t have a runner over 5 per carry and focus on 2-3 wr. Heck they got beat 3-52 against NDSU. They will give the gris all they can but I don’t see the gris losing this one in wagriz.

Going to have to disagree on the RB/WR group but they are solid. The Bobcats were “held in check” I suppose by the defense, but how many games are there where an offense doesn’t feel the need to attempt a single pass in the 4th quarter (or was it the entire second half?)of a game that isn’t a 45-point blowout?
MSU played its most vanilla half of offense and defense of the season against UM and still won by 23.
I don’t think UM is anything other than average who won against bad teams and even lost to two bad teams.

Agree. WR/RB are good but not great as a group.

I can’t think of a team that is as talented at WR and RB. Bergen, Harris, Racanelli, White, Fontes, Ostmo, Deck, Gilman, Grossman. That’s a dang good and deep group. Problem is they have had qb issues and o-line issues that come from lousy coaching. I hate the gris as much as anyone here but I think they have real talent.
As far as their defense they definitely looked better because of our play calling but I think they won’t have a problem keeping Tennessee St under 30. Just depends on if they can get their offense moving. With all that said they will get smoked by SDSU the following week if they win.

They'll beat TSU by 3 touchdowns or more.

Remember Portland State was up 3-0 at halftime in Missoula. Anything is possible folks. Tennessee State had 3 turnovers against NDSU, and we all know what that means. They did get better as the season went on. That said, UM at home in the playoffs, most likely will win.

I think you're right, but they need to find some motivation after the butt kicking they received on Saturday. I just didn't see much team confidence, support for each other, working together, etc. Maybe they'll pull it together, but maybe they're as ready to be done with the season as they were with the game in Bozeman. The sooner Fife can enter the portal the sooner he gets away from Bobby.

I agree with you on paper but that changes in my eyes when you watch Gilman. He's clearly nicked up and not himself. And when you take Fontes out of the receiver corps, and I'm pretty sure he won't play again seeing that injury, they start to look a little more average. Still think they win their first one by 3 scores but that's the ceiling. They don't have the ponies to win in brookings.

I get wanting to leave the CAA but man. You would think the SoCon would take them or even the UAC is better than the patriot.

Griz might win next week but I would beat the last penny I have they will not the next week. They will be embarrassed that second game.
They are an average group and not close to a full package.
