Crowd for Friday Night

I know there are folks who are having issues attending this game. I have a friend who works and just can't get off in time to get to attend.
Looking at the tickets remaining it looks like quite a few are still available, especially around the student sections. I hope we get close to the crowd that we had for the UT Martin game.

Looking at the tickets that are currently available, I am actually thrilled with the amount that have already been sold. This time last week there were a TON more tickets still available.
Friday night can't come soon enough!!

I am only seeing maybe 100 seats available in the stadium. Either that or I am looking at this wrong.

Not sure about aucats take on this, and I'm seeing something very different. I just checked and another sideline section just sold out. Only a handful of sideline seats remain and they will be gone soon. Hard to fault students who probably traveled back home at some point this week, but we're getting those sold too. I expect SRO to open up before the end of the week.

Well, that sounds very promising. I recall that the first game with Idaho was a late night game and the atmosphere was pretty rowdy.
I also recall that was a hard sellout and a rather expensive ticket. I don't like playing teams a second time in football. It's very dangerous. A very loud raucous crowd will be important.

One thing about night playoff games, the crowd may not be at full capacity but the loudest fans show up and more than make up for that.

Yep. Same song and dance we have every time we have a night game. The difference is this one will be a near sellout and it's the lone football game in the entire country and it's on ESPN. Even if there were fewer fans the place will be absolutely rocking.
I'm curious every time this discussion comes up with the out of town fans. I wonder what percentage of our attendance comes from people travelling across the state? I'm sure the ticket office has a good idea based on their records of season tickets. But as much as I appreciate the fans coming from afar, I can't imagine it's a giant percentage of our attendance. So while it sucks for those that can't make the Friday night games because of travel, it seems as though those tickets are still getting used. Which ultimately is a good thing in my opinion. People who don't have season tickets and have a hard time getting tickets all season now have a shot at going to a great game in an electric environment. Hopefully it's enough to hook them!

Well, if it’s not sold out…. Sounds like we might have to get extra drunk and loud then…

Your post got me thinking about the people that I sit near at Bobcat stadium. We drive 350mi and will be there, the 2 people in front of me drive 190mi and they said they'll be there. 2 people to my right drive 80mi and they said they'll be there but the 2 to my left who drive 150mi can't be there. 2 people behind me drive 300mi and can't be there.
Looking at it another way; of the 24 people around me I know that 4 people that drive distance won't be there and 4 people who are in Gallatin county won't be there. There maybe are others out of that 24 that won't make it that I'm unaware of. It will be interesting to see how many of those seats get filled but as it stands right now 1/6 of my area will be vacant. I expect some and hope all of those seats are filled.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if the actual attendance is over 16,007

Excluding the students, about half the capacity is made up of fans from outside the Gallatin IMO.

Man that's incredible. I never would have thought nearly 50% of our fanbase comes from outside the valley. If true I vastly underestimated how many travel for the games every weekend.

I was wondering how many might not attend with graduation going on. Hotels full. Restaurants full. Crowds a mess. On the flipside, I was hoping MSU might offer some incentives to bring friends and family to the game after graduation so maybe we can turn them into rabid screaming fans for the future!

Oh I definitely believe it. Just check the license plates in the parking lots. More difficult with all the different plates now but you can see half the counties if you check.

There are probably 50'ish tickets left above the student area, and less than 10 scattered throughout the rest of the stadium. Why are people thinking this won't be a packed house? Are they thinking 4 or 5 thousand people renewed their tickets and won't show up??

because it's never a "packed" house over break. We typically draw between 15-17K over break.

Attendance for UT Martin was 17,017. I bet we beat that.

The highest attendance I've seen at a recent (last six years) playoff game is 20,457 at the SDSU game in 2021. The stadium was rocking that day. That was a day game and semi-final, so more people could and wanted to attend.

Also never been 13-0 over a break. I know several non season ticket holders who are attending. Excitement is building in Bozeman
EDIT: I would also suspect there will be more than a few Idaho fans picking up extra tickets throughout the stadium. Not that far to travel, if they can find accommodations

I was there, but can’t remember, how were the students for being on break?
