Parking/tailgate options

Post by LIBBYCAT » Sun Dec 29, 2024 10:52 am

Probably a long shot, but, how is the parking and tailgate situation for Frisco? I know there is the large MSU function, and some bars cater to pregame, just looking for a small area to bbq and partake in some pregame libations. Weather looks ok for now. Any suggestions. Several of us driving so we can take what we need!
Thanks in advance! GCG

All the blue lots on the east side are open for tailgating. We are trying to figure out what we want to do for a tailgate. Most likely something small. Get pre made food from a grocery store and some alcohol. But just having a car there helps we places to store coats, garbage, etc. The blue lots are first come first serve and are $30. Pay with a credit card on site.

BVC and myself will be hosting a "Bobcat Collective" tailgate starting at noon on Monday......same Bus RV we had last time in Frisco and will locate near the MSU tailgate, but far enough away so people can mingle between the two and we can have a sea of blue and gold in between......Blue Lot....bring a 12 pack and some snacks and lets have a good time......thinking we need to head into the stadium around 4:30ish as last time was a cluster and want to make sure we are loud and proud from the start......good thing is they sell beer inside so we can keep it going.....spread the word and see you in Texas!

We will too! Does anyone know why the alumni foundation tailgate doesn’t serve food or alcohol? I’ve been to many other away games in years past and they always have. Is this new? What has changed? You would think that at the championship game they would pull out all the stops. Kind of disappointing.

My guess is because there will be 10-12 thousand Bobcat Fans. Its just way to much to try and coordinate and fit in. There isnt the space to try and get that many people served.

I think it will be different this time around with it being a night game, but last time, Saturday morning was an absolute cluster. SUPER FUN!! But, just nuts. So many people, that cell phones didnt work, you couldnt get ahold of anyone. You had to wait over an hour to use a porta potty.

It's the ultimate community event! Fill your rental car truck with food and drinks-way more than you need, and share with everyone. And as noted-cell phones will be all jammed up so make a schedule and a meeting place for your party-or just find them back when you get in the stadium.

Do you have a link to the parking info? Thanks in advance!

For those that did go to alumni foundation tailgate, they actually did have over 50 cases of beer and some water but as noted by others they simply couldn’t supply enough for the masses. I appreciated having the tables to sit and visit and DJ…but kinda chilly to sit around.
